Is that Peter Erskines new kit?

His is this (http://dwdrums.com/artists/pics/Wall-Erskine800.jpg)one. DW went and created a whole new 'jazz series' of drums. Diffferent shells, badges and all.

AHHHHHH!! That must be a dream! It is so seldom that I see people owning the Performer in Gold Crush Glitter! Timebandit was right: I love it. My dream kit, at least for now.

What a beautiful Glitter. Liquid, have fun with it...

PS: Doesn`t Tama produce a bass drum with 18" depth...or can you also order 16" depth?
And can you give us maybe some more images of it and of that Gold sparkle? =) It is sooo beautiful.

Hey Karl,
The tama catalog has pre-setup kits with the 20x18 bass drum, but I custom ordered the 20x16. I will post more pictures when i get my 14 in groove hats, 10 hhx splash, and my 18 hhx chinese up.
And to everyone else, Thanks for all the great responses to my kit.

Onemat,
Sorry to here about your wife, hopefully she'a o.k.
Sometime you have no choice but to give up material things when it comes right down to it. Drums are important, but not as much as life or death. I'm sure someday you will replenish your collection.

They are made by Destructive Drums out of Boston.

I was so suprised by this snare you have no idea. I bought it for like 130 bucks and I was expecting junk, just to hold me over. It tuned up so nicely.

I went with the same snare head I always go with, evans hd dry. Barely crank the bottom head so it gets alot of the snare sound and then crank the top up pretty high. If you get to much rattle or not enough play with the bottom head. It may be different for you since you have bubinga and unfortunently I have little experience with that wood. Maple always seems to suit me just fine. Good luck, I hope that helps somewhat!

I appreciate that...it hurt like hell to sell some of them but as long as I have something decent to play, I'm OK with it. If I had been smarter and stayed in school and finished college I might have more money for more drums. The vintage stuff continues to rise in price I've noticed. I'll never be able to replace some of the kits and snare I sold, but I enjoyed them when I had them.
