Good day.

In 1975-76 Pearl made a kit called a "leatherette." The finish (wrap) on these kits are Naugahyde. I've been talking to Steve Maxwell @ Steve Maxwell Vintage Drums about it. He said the finish/kit are extremely rare, although not necessarily highly sought out. But this kit is exceptional -- amazing condition. AMAZING. Sizes are 22x14, 13, 16.

The t-handle kick drum rods will need to be swapped our for some longer because of the differences in 1975 kick drum head construction and current ones. Probably a $30 fix (drummaker.com)

So, I'm offering this kit for sale since I have so many kits. I asked Steve about a FAIR price and he replied with $750. So, I offer this kit up for sale for $750 OBO (plus shipping to wherever you are in the United States). It will be professionally shipped - or you can pick it up if you are close to Western Kentucky.

This cymbal is great, it has a trashy crash sound that won't annoy the guitar players so much. In a lower volume jazz situation it can be used as a ride with nice open accents/crashes. I received this cymbal with the waves along the edges and was already drilled for rivets. The waves do not affect the sound at all. Logos are faded but still slightly visible. Sound clip below......

OK, you Rogersphiles, is this worth anything?

As I have previously mentioned, I teach/volunteer at a school for inner city underprivileged students. Through some equipment donations and my scrounging, we have managed to piece together two kits for our drum teaching studio. We have left over a Rogers 16x16 floor tom for which we have no use. I would like to convert it to cash so we could buy stuff. It is missing the bottom rim and there is one tension rod gone from the top. Only one head and it probably should be replaced but it is usable (no, I didn't put on that muffler). All lugs are there but there are no leg mounts. It is internally coated and the shell is about 5/16 and is sound. There is a slight waviness in the wrap in one place. The badge says Rogers 380 (don't know where that falls on the quality spectrum). Who can tell me what is worth and can anyone use it? As I say, we could use a few new heads, etc. and we have no use for this drum. Thanks in advance for any info or inquiries.

Hi folks, I have a pair of 8 lug top & bottom Super Hoops for sale. All are take offs from my snare drums. BOTH sets of Super Hoops are from Pearl drums (one is a session masters in all maple and the other is a Brass Sensitone Elite), both came with Super Hoops. I have a pair of Die Cast 10 Lug Snare hoops which are a take off from my SJC snare. These SJC die cast hoops are Gold/Brass finished and have a break in one of the snare access areas. It has no affect on the performance of the hoops at all.

The 8 lug Super Hoops have a couple of rust spots on them and are generally in excellent shape. They are $12.00 for the pair + actual shipping (I've already got a box and packing so no additional cost to the buyer for anything but actual shipping).

Zildjian EAK 20” Crash Ride – From my personal collection, this cymbal is one of the first K Zildjians to be manufactured in North America, most likely at the plant in Canada. Specific and typical to every Early American K, this cymbal features the tight lathing, the K logo on the underneath side of the cymbal as well as hammering on the bell. While Zildjian still offers this model, this cymbal is totally different than the glorified crap Zildjian now offers as the K Zildjian line! It is thinner and speaks with ease – excellent for Jazz and can be used as a secondary or even primary crash in a Rock setting. LUDWIG 1980s ACROLITE – One of the best Acrolites that I have seen in awhile. Mostly original equipment, this drum is missing only the factory batter head to be all original Ludwig! The chrome is extremely clean and this drum was very well kept. The factory snare wires specific to the Acrlite model are there and in excellent condtion. It just needs a batter head! If only all of the Ludwig drums were this well preserved and cared for!! No reserve!

DW Performance Series 5 PC in White Ice (NEW more expensive version made in the oxnard california not in mexico)

I purchased this one week ago in kind of a spur of the moment thing. I had been looking for a DW kit for a long time and when I saw that they had this kit in stock at the local store I had to snap it up. (Many of you know how hard the performance series kits are to get right now, tons of them on back order) Unfortunately, I have decided that I'm going to bite the bullet and get the custom collectors series I have always wanted.

The kit is in brand new condition, although the heads show a little sign of wear. It included 18x22 kick 8x10 tom 9x12 tom 14x16 floor and 6.5x14 snare. They retail for $2300+Tax here in Canada and I am looking to get as much back as I can for what I paid for it. It includes absolutely everything you would get if you bought it or ordered it at a store. Most of the stuff is even unopened and the heads are basically brand new.

3 piece Pearl Export drumset. 24" bass drum, 12" and 14" suspended toms. Both toms are in good condition. Wraps and hardware has been looked at, cleaned and fixed. Wrap on bass drum is bubbled on the bottom of the drum. Hoops on bass drum are rusted and the chrome is peeling off of one, and the other is slightly out of round. Despite issues in bass drum it has a nice thump. All bearing edges are in very very good shape and these drums are the best sounding exports I have personally ever heard, and I have sold some in the past. They are 90's exports which have very thick shells providing a strong tone. These drums are a very good practice set, or beginners set, or set to get tossed around. These are for local pickup only as shipping them would be very costly and not worth it. If you want these to match a set you already have and do not care about the cost of shipping please email me. I've been through a dozen kits, the one constant in my life have been these cymbals, because they are the perfect sound to my ear. I've had them for about 8 years.

Anyone here want a 6.5" COB Big R Dynasonic in complete and beautiful condition? I have two 6.5" Dynas and want to raise some cash for more stuff so I will sell this one. Serial number puts it from 1977.

I also have a very nice Slingerland Red Sparkle 10"x14" marching snare froom 1968. Wrap is tight and in excellent condition, though not showroom new. Zoomatic strainer is smooth and the Sticksaver hoops are undamaged.

hi. i have a zildjian 16" a series medium thin crash. this is the 1998 limited edition 375th anniversary cymbal.

it has armand zildjian's signature lazer engraved underneath, 375th ann. laser engraved logo and silkscreened logo on top, and most importantly...its signed by armand zildjian.

its hard to find in general. i have never seen one signed come up for sale. armand passed away in 2002.

i used to work for a drum company artist rep, and this is signed to him. its unused and it hung up in his office til he retired. has minor fingerprints that can be cleaned, and you may be able to get todd's name off as well.

in any case, its a hard to find cymbal you probibly won't see again. $300.

1) Paiste 22" 2oo2 ride. Mid-70's vintage, ex. cond aside from typical stick marks. Heavy!

2) Parts from a pre-'42 (had a brass cloud badge) 14" Radio King snare.
I have the upper engraved hoop as well as the snare side hoop with riveted gates. Some light rust on the snare hoop at the gates, otherwise some very minor pitting.

Also have 16 original lugs, mounting hardware and tension rods. 3 of the lugs have mounting screws that broke off during disassembly stuck inside. Lugs all have some pitting, tension rods have rust.

Muffler with mounting hardware. Felts in great shape, almost no pitting.

3) Three Zildjian Cymbal Snaps. Late-70's? Ex. Cond, one has very light pitting (almost unnoticeable) Perfect for that vintage Buddy Rich restoration project!

Anyone interested in a 1965 Ludwig jazz snare with original stand? I stumbled onto this snare drum and vintage drums are way out of my league of knowledge and I dont want to do anything to devalue it. Its a 1965 Keystone badge 14" jazz snare....100% original including the heads (I bought it from its original owner).....the Badge serial number is 162626. Its actually 100% functional despite the prehistoric heads....just needs cosmetic work and polishing....some of the screws that hold the lugs on from the inside of the shell are corroded but other than that its in decent shape for being 46 years old. It also comes with its original WFL snare stand also from 1965.....has some rust and pitting on it but could be polished and used...only missing thumbscrew for the legs. Taking offers on this set of Black Diamond Pearl Ludwigs I purchased this past May. I acquired a set of DW's and need to make room so these Lud's have to go. 22" Bass, toms are 12-13",
snare is 14" with the typical pitting of this era as seen in the pic, 16" floor tom. Original heads which need to be replace, the the snare has an old fiberskin on it. No rust on the chrome but it does need to be polished.

Quite honestly this kit is in overall great condition. The wraps and shells are well maintained with not flaws I could find when I purchased. It's a 1865 grams of turkish hand hammered bronze, in excellent condition (very little stick marks, but it has started to develop some patina since it is about 5 years old). There's no key hole and the mounting hole is very slightly out of round. Sonic-wise I'd say it's great dark crash for louder music and a wonderful jazz ride that never really washes out). I want to sell it to someone who could enjoy this one as it doesn't get as much play from me as it should. I would do trade for a nice bass drum pedal (Mapex Falcon, DW 5000/8000/9000, Pearl Eliminator or Sonor Giant Step). I have a Presonus Firepod (aka FP10) that I'm no longer using. Works great. Includes the interface, power supply, a firewire cable, and while I do have the original software, the CDs themselves are beat up and don't think they're readable (I got them used this way).

Good exchanging PMs with you. I was figuring that as long as I had a free bottom New Beat I'd see if I could get just the top to go with it and use the pair as a supplement to the hats I already have.

But now that I've tested it out, the bottom hat turns out to be as far from a New Beat as you can get and still have a "Zildjian" stamp. I'm definitely not crazy about the sound, so I don't have a reason to pursue this particular hunt.

If anyone's interested in the stuff I have to trade, though, I certainly welcome any offers, including trades that might bring me something cool that I don't have to go out of pocket for.

I have a Ludwig Legacy drum set in blue sparkle wrap available. Here are the details: I bought this kit in mid 2010 (June, I believe) and have used it MAYBE five times. The kit is fantastic, sounds great, really no issues at all, etc... The only "issue" I see with any of these drums is there a tiny bit of pedal rash where the kick drum pedal attaches. (Obviously that happens on every kick drum, but I thought I should mention it.)

Basically, this kit has basically sat in cases in my basement for the past 18 months. (The 14" floor tom has NEVER been played!) This kit will cost you about $3K to buy it new- and then it has about a 14 week wait time!

The Legacy kit is a 3 ply maple/poplar/maple set up with rounded bearing edges, exactly like Ludwig used in the late 60s. This kit sounds like a vintage Ludwig on steroids. Seriously, it is fantastic sounding!

Up for sale today is my incredibly well kept ROLAND TD-20S BK (Black) V-DRUMS KIT. $3900

This exceptionally pampered, never gigged TD 20 Set has never left my smoke-free home studio environment. There is no damage to the kit whatsoever, no scratches, dings - etc.... It is in excellent condition. The kit has only been played with nylon tipped sticks (7A Jazz) and has been very well cared for. The kit is in perfect operational and functional condition. You may note on the pic of the KD-120 Kick Pad that there is some slight discoloration in the center of the mesh head - purely cosmetic. This is normal and results from repeated friction/contact with the stock Roland rubber kick beater that comes supplied with the kit.

The kit was purchased in 2009 for $6500. I don't want to sell her, but I'm going through a divorce and just got laid off from my job so I need the money.

This snare drum is in Very good+ condition, has an amazingly wide tuning range, and had NO re-rings. This snare has flawless bearing edges and all functional areas look great. The Brass Hardware on the shell shows some wear, as this snare drum was used on the WARPED Tour, by an SJC endorser, but is a flawless musical instrument. This Snare Drum has an Evan Hazy 200 Snare Side head on it, Puresound Blaster snare wires and a Remo Coated Ambassador on the batter side with plenty of brush life left in it. I also just placed up my Sabian AAX 14" Stage Hats. I buffed out the cymbal logos, hence why the cymbals are seen in their bag so everyone can see that it was purchased legitimately and is exactly the same product as advertised. I love the way cymbals look either without logos or with very discrete ones, hence why I buffed out mine. Either way they are great and sound great, but I'm just switching to Meinl because they are what I've always wanted. It has an 18 x 16 kick, a 10 x 09 Tom and, a 14 x 14 FloorTom with legs.

This kit is one of the best sounding Sonor kits I've owned. I used it for gigging around town, etc.......and can't use it anymore so, she needs to go.

Gretsch USA 5 Piece Broadkaster Bebop kit circa 99-00 with gunmetal hardware in beautiful satin lacquer rosewood, Jasper shelled drum set. (Shell Pack Only) The sizes are 18x14 bass drum (virgin), 10x8 tom. 12x8 tom, 14x14 floor tom, and matching 5x14 snare drum with trick strainer added. This kit originally came with a nickel strainer but was replaced with the trick strainer. It is a perfect bolt in replacement with no extra holes. The original gunmetal techware mounts for the GTS mounting system will also be included as well as a bass drum riser. The bearing edges are all perfect and the kit is in excellent condition and has been well loved. Please see the pictures below for the condition of the kit. The 10 inch tom was an add-on and the rosewood stain is slightly darker then the other toms, but not noticeable unless looking up close. Vintage TAMA 16x22” SUPERSTAR Bass Drum, Super Maple finish – Measured from bearing edge to bearing edge, this bass drum is a true 16” depth and is from the Tama “X-tras” years over production and is in very good condition. The finish is in near perfect condition with very few if any flaws. The hoops are in good condition as well but the batter side hoop has some sort of relief, which I doubt is factory. The “TAMA” T-badge was removed by a previous owner, but the internal “TAMA” is still present. Structurally, this drum is as sound as they come! No reserve!

These are Maple shelled in very good condition, and have been sitting in my friends, climate controlled home. These were purchased by Todd from the original owner in 1992. They have black Niles badges, & the sizes are as follows;
-Concert Toms - 6”, 8”, 10” 12”
-Standard 2 headed Toms – 13”, 14”, 15”, 16”, & 18” Floor Tom
-2 – 24”x14” Bass Drums – Both Kicks are Virgin and have NO mounts drilled on them at all
-4 – Mounted Tom Stands (Clip type), and floor tom legs
-ENTIRE kit has Die Cast Stick Saver hoops (rims) and all hardware is correct.

Want to sell my Very Good Yamaha Concert Toms 6” and 8”. The chrome, lugs, rims, & mounts are in outstanding condition as the pictures show. These are older and use the Pre-YESS mounts which mount right on the shells. These have the date of 5-12-11 written inside the shells, which is when I picked them up. The both have brand new Remo CS clear heads. You just need a stand and these and they are ready to go. Would make an excellent addition to your kit and they have great sound. The only flaw is the writing on the inside of each tom as shown in the pictures (which can perhaps be sanded off and has NO effect on the sound or performance).

WANTED
Mid 70's (76) Tama King Beat dual rail parallel action throw off parts.
This type of throw off assembly is the one with both a single internal rod and the dual external rods running parallel to the snare wires across the bottom of the drum.
I need parts to get mine up and running again.
Will concider an entire drum if the throw off is all there.
Also looking for a 78' Imperialsstar wood snare drum. (possibly an artwood 14 x 6 1/2")
