Hey guys,

My 7 piece Tama Superstar Hyper-drive is up for sale. I have no where to set it up anymore so it needs to go.

8, 10, 12 inch high toms
14, 16 inch floor toms
14 inch snare
20 x 22 inch bass drum (don't remember which way the numbers go in relation to the bass drum but I'm pretty sure it's a 22" wide bass drum)
There's a Kickport put on the bass drum which actually makes a difference

All snares are in excellent condition with newer heads, 2 of the 3 have S-Hoops on the reso side and I can swap them to triple flangers if you so desire, or leave em there - whichever you prefer. The candidates are: a 14 x 6 DW Edge in Black Ice. This thing is a monster - weighs in at nearly 20 lbs and sounds like someone shot a cannon. Truly a sonic hammer. This drum is a 9.25 out of 10. Not a problem with it whatsoever, just need to make some room. Asking 625 SHIPPED

Next is a Brady Jarrah Stave 14 x 4.5 in low gloss finish. - SOLD!

Finally another DW Collectors - this one a Collectors Brass 14 x 6 with the early mag throwoff and single position butt plate. A great snare, but it too gets no time on the stand. A shame indeed. Another 9 out of 10. Asking 425 SHIPPED.

Hey guys I've got a almost brand new Tempus Fiberglass kit in Fuscia Sparkle for sale.

Asking $3000 firm.

This is a completely custom and hand made kit from Tempus drums in Vancouver, BC. These are hand formed fiberglass shells and they sound awesome. The finish is a Fuschia Sparkle and the color is actually in the resin so it will never peel or scratch off.

I just replaced the heads that came with it (Evans G1's and they come with) with Evans EC2's and are unused. Kick has a brand new EMAD batter head with a brand new KickPort installed in the front head and an Evans Kick pillow inside. Bottom tom heads are all Evans G1's. Included hardware are 2 top of the line Gibraltar boom stands, Gibraltar throne, Taye snare stand, Gibraltar single kick pedal, Gauger RIMS mount for 10" tom and Taye cymbal arm.

Kit also comes with a set of soft bags and hardware bag.

Drum sizes are 16x20 kick, 8x10 rack tom, 8x12 rack tom, 14x14 Floor tom, 5x14 snare and 5x12 snare.

List price on the drums only are $5500. The factory direct price for the drums only would be $3600 but Tempus is closing their doors soon and new orders are impossible. Cost to buy this entire set up new would be close to $5000.

I'm in Hawaii so shipping will be at least $300 or $400.

The only reason it's for sale, is it's untenable for me to use this kit live given my status in Guru Drumworks. It's served me very well. Never a tuning problem, always delivers, & in my humble opinion, as good as any high end ply kit out there at any price.

It's all in great condition. A few minute marks that you really have to search to find. Good heads on it, & comes with the original Spaun heads too. The only additional customisation is that the inside of the 10" tom is signed by Carmine Appice, Jojo Mayer, & Simon Phillips.

Shells are 6mm Keller maple. 24k gold plated brass lugs. Sold complete with RIMS style suspension mounts & Yamaha tom brackets. Also included is a full set of Humes & Berg lined hard cases (& they're not cheap).

hey everyone, i'm selling my 6 piece custom hand made Jalapeno shell pack + some extras.

this kit is in perfect condition and just put new skins on the toms about a month ago (Remo Emperor clear). it's natural wood colour no lacquer. as you all probably know these hand made kits sound awesome, im not great at tuning drums but here's a video of me playing my kit Click Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQE02iWX4Lg) it's mic'd up (the high tom mic had to be muted as i didn't realise until i got home it was peaking) but i only tweaked the EQ a little as they just sounded great even without EQ.

this kit is brilliant, nothing wrong with it, only reason im selling is it's the first top of the range kit i've had and i'd like to own a few different kits over the next couple years to be able to decide what my perfect kit will be.

A mint condition Meinl Byzance 21" Dark Ride Cymbal. No dings, dents, chips or anything else anywhere on the cymbal (other than any marks related to its "untreated finish"). Only played once at home. Bought it as a brand new cymbal- still has sticker. Asking $200 (new low price).

Retail price is $670 and it typically sells on the net for $359.

This is not a light cymbal at 2945 grams and is very versatile. The cymbal has an untreated finish full of hand hammering, marks and discolorations. is a truly breathtakingly beautiful cymbal.

I am only selling this because I won another similar cymbal on ebay (a 21" Paiste Dark Energy MkII ride). I had a really hard time deciding between the two.

Mint! came from the renowned Maxwells drum shop in New York last year. looks like it's been sat in a cupboard for nearly 50 years! no rust and original beautiful black diamond pearl wrap. Sizes: 22x14, 13x9, 16x16 Missing tone controls from both toms, these can be picked up easily and are not expensive. A really great example of this kit, and it sounds exactly as these kits should - fat and full of warm tubby tone!

Tama 6.5x13 S.L.P. Sonic Steel snare - new with bag!

I just got this drum and it's brand new - but I'm helping out a friend who had a death in the family and he had no money, so I gave him about $300, and I figure this would help me recoup that since I didn't really have the money to give anyway, but it gets him home to be with his family, and it just means I fall back on my Stewart Copeland snare that I'm not selling.

Anyway, like I said, just purchased this so it's new. A Tama SLP 6.5x13 Sonic Steel snare drum. I put a brand new Evans coated G2 on top, and I will ship it in a new SKB soft bag, that has a pocket inside for a spare head. There IS a spare head in the bag, the original Evans G1 that came on the drum that I did play for a day or so.

This beautiful piece of history, a great-sounding 16x16 floor tom, was owned by drumming legend Elvin Jones. The Gretsch Anniversary Sparkle finish was designed to celebrate the company's anniversary in 1958; leftover wrap was then offered on drums for a few years after. The window for when the finish was available, along with the early 60s Swissair baggage tag still on the drum's case, makes it likely this drum was used during Elvin's signature years with John Coltrane, possibly on a European tour. The sparkles in the finish have been tinted gold, likely from playing in smoky clubs.

Everything on this round badge, Jasper shell drum is original, except the period-correct bottom hoop and newer head (the drum was marked on the case as "no bottom") and the period-correct legs. Gretsch Permatone heads are installed, but the original top head is included. The original case is also included, with a classic use of tape to spell out "ELVIN."

A provenance document signed by Keiko Jones is included.

Gibraltar Ultra Adjust Snare stand.
It was on my rehearsal kit, moved rehearsals to my house, and I don't need it anymore. Super clean and smooth working, memory lock intact.

Pair of 16" K Light hi hats. These sound awesome, and very "useable", meaning, aside from great closed, open and "chick" sounds, the bell has a really nice sound on it's own, and they are crashable. Super clean, no marks, logos are perfect.

20" Sabian Prototype Hand Hammered XS20 cymbal. This is from the Vault Tour in 2005.
Don't let the designation fool you, this cymbal does NOT sound "budget" in any way. Great stick/body sound, along with a smooth crash. Records really well, & just about Mint condition. All logos intact.

This is a super nice sounding ride. GREAT bell, fantastic stick sound with just enough body. Records great, & it'll even take a good shoulder crash and not sound clangy one bit. Super clean.
It's old enough to be considered Vintage (back when Zildjian's really sounded great IMO). The weight on this cymbal is 3550 grams.

If this one doesn't sell, I won't be heartbroken :-), but I haven't used it in a long time.
I haven't needed a pingy type sound in any band in ages, & I actually prefer a washier sound (that's why I haven't used it) however, in a pingy type of ride sound, I really dig this particular cymbal.

Selling off my Maple Absolutes in black sparkle with Nouveau lugs.

Includes are all of the tom mounts and the bass drum mounting post. I'll also include the soft shell cases I have. I don't have a case for the 10" and 15" toms. This is just the shell pack and basic mounting hardware. No stands, no snare.

I'm asking $2600. There aren't a lot of these out there, so they're a bit hard to price but I think this is very fair from what I can tell. Street price new you're looking at around $5000 + shipping and no cases. I'm always open to offers, also.

The entire set is in truly excellent condition. It's never been gigged. There are no chips, dents, scratches or anything else I can find. The Anton Fig snare has one small chip in the lacquer. I'm selling because this is too much drum kit for me, both in size and money. I need to seriously downsize.

I'm in the Hartford, CT area. I've never shipped drums, and I don't know anything about shipping drums, so I'd much prefer not to. If someone wants me to, I'll consider it, but I would need some detailed instructions exactly how to ship them. I know I don't have a very high post count, but I'm active on other forums and have a solid reputation. The hats I believe are tagged at $400.
Just for informations sake, they don't make these anymore. I guess it was a limited run for this size of the hats. As a seller on Ebay said, when they're gone, that's it.
I don't believe Zildjian offers 16" hats in any other line either.

I can't remember the prices on the stands off hand. I'll have to go to the shop to find out what they tagged them at.

They are at a good/fair price, I wasn't greedy on what I wanted at all--I just don't want to deal with shipping stuff, and they ship worldwide, so it's worth the consignment percentage they take to me.

Mapex meridian maple exotic in cherry stain over Quilted maple. Sizes are 12x7, 14x12, 16x14 and 22x18. It's a shell pack only, and I might be able to do a deal with a set of Hardcases if that's your bag. I need it gone ASAP, so make me a sensible offer and it's yours! Condition is 9/10 with the usual pedal rash on the bass drum hoop and a small scratch (maybe 1/3 the size of a little finger nail) on the kick where the rack tom rubbed once on a rickety stage. I have used it on the road and in the studio for about 2 years, but it's been really well looked after. PM ME IF YOU'RE INTERESTED!!!

I'm preparing to list these items on eBay but thought I'd list them here to see if any drummers need these first. These items are all in excellent condition and they all work and have not been abused. I just recently upgraded so I no longer need them.

Nikon CoolPix 5400 point-and-shoot 5MP camera - with charger, lens hood, and an additional charger that doubles as an AC adapter for it (so you could run the camera without using a battery and just plug it in). It's older, but takes great photos. $75

Kodak Zi8 flash card camcorder, with everything, even the remote control. $100

Zoom H2 stereo flash card recorder (I just got my Zoom Q3, so this guy should go to a good home). $100

I was using all three to promote my drumming - the Kodak Zi8 would shoot the video, the Zoom would record the audio, and both files would get dumped into my Mac and then sync'd up for awesome-sounding videos. The Nikon was used for still shots.

If anyone is looking for marketing tools, here ya' go ;)

Re-listing my Yamaha maple absolutes. I've sold off the 13" and 15" drums. Now I'm down to a 4pc shell pack.

Kit is black sparkle and is in marvelous shape. It's never been gigged. Pictures are available earlier in the thread, but I will update this with current pictures when I can. It will look exactly the same with 2 less toms :)

The bass drum tom mount is included of course, but no stands or anything like that. Great kit. I'm just looking to downsize to a smaller and cheaper kit.

I would love to see these move. I'm a bit east of Hartford, CT and would be happy to deliver or meet halfway within any reasonable distance.

For sale:

Yamha Custom Copper 14"x5,5" (ID: SD6105, SN: QHY1814) snare drum. According to the serial number, this drum has been made in 11/2001.

I ordered this particular snare drum from the Netherlands about six months ago. It's in great condition, no dents or scratches. When I got this I noticed that the snare strainer is broken but the company kindly sent me a brand new, genuine one for replacement. Works fabulously now! Naturally I'm sending this snare drum with the old strainer + it's parts.

This drum sounds great! Not as harsh as steel snare drum. Equipped with 2,3 mm Dyna Hoops and Puresound Custom 24-strand snare wires. Drums heads in playable condition (Evans G1 on top, Remo Ambassador snare on bottom.)

There is a similar Yamaha snare drum listed on Ebay (exept it is 6,5" deep) for 459$ (about 372€.) I am asking for this snare drum 370€ + shipping costs. Willing to ship this to EU or USA/Canada.

Gretsch 1950 Real Max Roach Snare in MBP!

This is a very special collector's snare drum. It's a Gretsch 4x14 real Max Roach, including the square Max Roach badge (which these are often missing), from June 1950 (the date is stamped inside the clear-finished shell). This Marine Blue Pearl 3-ply drum has the original tube lugs, hoops, badges, wrap, bearing edges, snare beds, etc. Everything seems to be original except the modern heads and the snare wires, though the snare wires are authentic Gretsch Responso wires. The drum is in good condition for being over 60 years old, the only major wear is on the Renown strainer shroud and arm, which have some chrome loss and some oxidation.

The previous owner had drumming legend Hal Blaine sign the interior shell and the top head of the drum. I don't have anything to prove the authenticity of these signatures, but it seems like a strange thing to do fraudulently (he didn't even mention it at first), so I trust it.

The drum includes a nice padded Gretsch drum bag, the kind with orange trim.

I have an Aluminum Yamaha Dave Weckl snare drum. They are no longer in production, and the aluminum is even more rare to come by. I would like to sell mine, but not sure what would be the right price for this would be. The condition is a 9/10, with Remo Coated Ambassador batter and Evans Hazy 300 snare side.

WANTED:

Does anyone happen to have a Gibraltar "Pancake" Beater lying around? I have read about it somewhere (must have been the threads on the Catapult pedals), and it seems that many people swap them out right away.

I think I have found a definite use for them and could use them if they're sitting in someone's closet unused.

(The laziness in me says to just buy a new one off some website, but the economist and environmentalist in me says that there are probably people who would have one unneeded.)

Frankly these are very cool pies, just not working for me and the type of music I play...it was a fun experiment, but it's time to let them go.

Never rained on nor used in harsh or smoky conditions (NJ has a smoking ban inside all establishments).

Pre-2002 DW CRAVIOTTO 5.5.x14” Snare drum – In pretty much immaculate condition, I did my research on this single ply (from the one ply guy) snare drum. Given the fittings on this drum, this snare drum is from around 1995-96-97; somewhere in there. DW said that they did not date stamp these before 2002. I would be lying if I said that I had not played this drum a little! This playing revealed that this is one of the most sensitive snare drums ever made! It’s in beautiful condition and this is a “can’t go wrong”! No reserve!

2001 DW EDGE 7x13” Ebony Satin Oil Snare drum – This snare drum is in very good to great condition. There was a spot on the shell where a tag had been attached and removed (!) but has been repaired to the point where it is hardly noticeable. The bottom hoop has some of the black powder coating chipped away. Other than that, this is an excellent drum in a size that is outstanding and a great recording drum! One of my buddies plays this model in the studio as well as live! No reserve!

Hey everyone,

My name is Ryan, and I'm a drummer from PA. I'm posting this because I'm starting a small drum company, called Keystone Drum Company. I'm taking inspiration from custom drum companies (OCDP, SJC, Truth, C&C, etc.), but on a much smaller scale, and therefore much less expensive. As of right now, I'm not a true custom drum manufacturer. Currently, I plan on only offering 2 different kits, but options available for those kits yield a few thousand different possibilities. So, here's my plan: I'm offering a 4 piece and 5 piece (1 rack tom, 2 floor toms) kit each available in Keller maple with a glass glitter wrap or RCI acrylic. All kits will have 2.3mm hoops, tube lugs, and tom isolation mounts, but you have the following options:

4 piece kit: 8x12 rack tom, 12x14 floor tom, 20x20 kick, 6x14 snare
- choice of 13 colors of glitter wraps (and possibly up to 22 colors in the near future) OR choice of 17 colors of acrylic
- maple kits have 6 ply toms, 8 ply kicks, and 10 ply snares
- acrylic shells are 1/ 4" thick
- choice of mini or standard tube lugs
- choice of lug placement (in line, 50% offset, or 7/ 8 offset)
- choice of chrome, brass, or black nickel hardware
- choice of rack or 3-leg floor tom isolation mount on floor tom

I'm parting ways with my old reliable Gretsch kit purchased new on 1/26/77. I still have the original receipt from Don Wehr's Music City, 817 Columbus, SF. Sizes are 8x12, 9x13, 10x14, 16x16, and 14x22. A modification was made to incorporate Pearl hardware -- those original Gretsch tom holders were terrible. The toms now have Pearl Optimounts. I took off all the top and bottom internal mufflers from the toms and have all that hardware, as well as the original mounting brackets. There are some scratches and pitting -- this set has been played and has traveled around. However there is nothing quite like die cast rims and those great Gretsch shells with the silver sealer. This is a great recording set! Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Bosphorus 14" New Orleans Hats For Sale

I'm trying to find a new loving home for these guys. So I'm checking in here first.

Bosphorus 14" New Orleans Series hi hats, now discontinued. They are in EXCELLENT condition, like new. Beautiful thin hats. They are semi dry, dark, low pitched, with a little hi end sparkle... lovely. The open slush sound is to die for.. its my favorite thing about these cymbals. They sound lot like the Stanton Moore hats, only slightly drier.

There are two different weights indicated on each cymbal. One is from the factory and one is from Tony at cymbalsonly. I weighed them myself and got Tony's numbers.

Factory weights: 926/1126
Tony's weights: 928/1157

Curious if anyone in the north east (NJ, NY, PA) area would be interested in trading their Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute for my Birch Custom Absolute. It's a beautiful blue sparkle kit. Excuse the bad cell phone picture, but it's the only one I have right now. The kick in the picture is not the kick I would trade. I have the matching blue sparkle kick. I have these sizes... toms: 8", 10", 12", 13", floor toms: 14", 15", 16", kick: 22x18. Also have a matching 6.5x14 snare, but I'm not sure I want to get rid of it, but I could be tempted. The only reason I'm thinking of doing this is that I already have another Birch Custom Absolute kit in Apple Sparkle Fade that I am keeping. I don't need 2 birch kits. I would like to have a maple kit to play with. I am particularly interested in Yamaha's sparkle finishes. Anyway, thought I'd throw it out there and see if I get any bites.

Hi Everyone...

I have a 2006 DW Drums 3 Piece Collectors Series Kit in Black Oyster Glass. The set is in excellent almost brand new condition. There is not a scratch or mark on the drums (except some pedal rash). The Finish-Ply Wrap is complete contained with no signs of wear. No pitting, rust, or issues of any kind with the hardware. You would have no idea these drums were pre-owned. They have been kept in a smoke free home and was been well taken care of.

All the drums comes with true pitch lugs, STS mount on the rack tom, the floor tom will come with legs. The bass drum double tom mount is also included. I will also include soft cases for the drums as well......

The kit comes with the tom mounts (never used them) that would mount onto top of the bass drum. I live in San Francisco. Asking $750. I'll remove this Ad once drums are SOLD.

They are in great condition with no noticeable marks or scuffs. I have cleaned them, however don't have the correct cymbal polish, so any remaining marks will be removed by the Paiste Cymbal cleaner.

Up for sale is a pair of A. Zildjian "light" hi hats from the 60's. This was determined by the pictures available at hidehitters.com. Both cymbals are virtually the same weight which I would characterize as medium-thin, but a cymbal tester at Zildjian called them thin. One cymbal weighs in at 710.16 and 704.49 grams. This is what he told me about them.

"The weight of each of these cymbals officially brings them within the weight spec of a 13” Thin Crash even though they are only a couple of ounces shy of the weight of 13” New Beat Tops. These could have been matched up as hihats within the early sixties before Louie Bellson created the idea of the New Beat concept (lighter top, heavier bottom) in 1965. The lathing style also puts it within that same timeframe.

I just put them up for auction, but reserve the right to end it early if I sell them privately.
