I listened to all 3 of the songs and I thought the drumming sounded cool, if I could drum like that I would be very pleased. I missed the singing in the songs, and I thought there was an overkill of instruments. But, you are doing nice together.

The second song seemed like everyone was at a different place timing wise...Either speed it up, or find a different feel that everyone can climb on board with...It seemed very boring without some lyrics...
And with that many guitars, the Songs need more melody and solos if you're going to do them without lyrics. The Jam had a great melody I thought, and a ton of feel, even with the changes...watch your temp on the fills though!!! You're really rushing the group... the guitars stayed with you which is cool...but don't make them chase you.
I noticed more at the end of the Jam song...it seemed like you were making up your own cymbal queues...and they weren't with anybody...perhaps livening that up with some rhythms from them that you can match up with, or counter...something so you don't sound so isolated with all those prominent hits...otherwise it sounds like you’re just trying to be the loudest of the bunch.
All in all, it was cool, just remember to perform to the audience…pay attention to what it takes to entertain them, not just play for them!

well played.......but try to be more consistent and solid instead of just like either dragging along or making the guitars drag along.....

i personally think you are alot better then the rest of your band, i would say its them dragging you down. i also think you should cut one of the guitars, maybe stick one of them on vocals. I have a friend who plays in a band and at some points they have 4 guitars, alll doing similar in-complex things, just doesn't add to the music at all.
I love the Rage stuff. my other friends band (i have alot of friends that are in other bands then my own) used to cover alot of rage, this was well done i thought. the cow bell stuff the drummer of rage uses is so fitting, great contrast. i love the song freedom. but the VOCALS are completely key in that music.
correct me if im wrong. do you guys have a singer, and its just not heard, or was he or she not present for the practice. like are you guys gonna go instrumental at the show?
nothing bad, its actually how my band started out, we still have a few originals that are instrumental.

To answer everyones questions.
These songs that we played in this jam are now to this night sooo much better. I just got back from our jam and practice tonight and we got a world of more stuff acomplished. In Killing In the Name and in the Jam, the guitarist in the red sweatshirt is not in our band but was just there to play with us that night. We do not have a singer and are currently looking for one. Our guitarist that plays the solo in the rage song and in strip my mind is our lead and one of the best guitarists i know in our school. I'll post vids from the show this friday or maybe from another practice during this week.

My parents would kill me if i jammed in the basement.
In my opinion you need to make your hats more versatile. Close em' tigh some times for a different feel and then some of the slosh. More dynamics with the snare would be cool.
nice random cymbal stuff...i do it too. Nice single fills in the jam.
oh yea that stuff was a little picky a lot of your playing was nice and fluent and it fit the music nice.

nice drumming but you probably picked the the two worst songs to not have a singer on
but RATM will sound sweet no matter what
