Wedgie rubber felts

Does anyone use these? I just ordered 2 sets. Each set gives you 5 regular size and two for the hi-hat clutch. I bet they are sweet. I just havn't had a chance to put them on yet.

I got two of them for free with something else I ordered and I put them on my crashes, but the problem I see with them is that they do not give like felt. I'm sure they will last forever and if it were me I may use them on my rides but took them off of my crashes since I felt that they were too stiff and was afraid they may cause me to damage my crashes. I guess I'm saying they don't compress enough. Hope that makes sense.

Deathmetalconga, the site is wedgie.com. Gruntersdad, did you use one on each side of the cymbal or just one? I was wondering why they give 5 regular size per pack. Maybe this would correct that stiffness. I still havn't had a chance to put them on yet. We went to a show last night. I'm so sore from all that moshing. Good times.

I have these on most of my cymbals and on my hi-hat and really like them. I will continue to use them.

I couldn't find cymbal felt replacements on their site. Really, how could you improve on cymbal felts?

Deathmetalconga, you have to go to the drum section and you will see the felts. They are supposed to be better than regular felts because they are rubber with 5 raised contact points for increased sustain.

I was under the impression that they were for the underneath side of the cymbal, the side that takes all of the abuse. I guess you got five for five cymbals. That really isnt a lot.

Edit: Something else came to mind. As far as the 5 resting points are concerned, your cymbal would have to be pretty flat for all five to touch the cymbal. Looking at mine those nibs are pretty small. Give them a try and if you like them I will mail you mine. For free.

I use the wedgie washers and love them. They dont lose their shape like felts can (which can lead to cracked cymbals) and you can write on the wedgies to mark which cymbal stand goes where, which is great when you have a large selection of stands!
