Hello all,

Recently played my first gig for 2 years. Man how I realised I loved it so much the first count in of the set!

We have been in our batcave for the past year writing a rehearsing new songs as we have a new guitarist and keyboard player involved and wanted too start from scratch. I have also improved as a player through the many threads on this forum and that helped me stay nice and relaxed...therefore I was able to really get into the mood and play with confidence.

Was using the house kit so it was not in great shape but had my own pedal, hardware, cymbals and snare.

Here are a few pics taken by a friend of ours...enjoy!

Awesome, i wish i could gig with my ol' band, but we are no where near ready. A friend of mine has those same headphones...those things are massive.

Yeah they are quite large!! But they have a very good sound and isolate just enough so I can still hear the band. Most venues have poor drum monitors so I have too wing it sometimes!

Those are some good pictures buddy. It's nice to get back into gigs, I know that feeling. I hadn't played a gig for two years since last November and I had a blast. How was the gig? Band as tight as I've heard on the rehearsal footage?

Best gig I have ever played!! My playing has come on so much since I last gigged.

The material we play now is pretty much constructed by us all so we all have our own input to the songs and therefore can express ourselves. I even have 2 songs in the set that I wrote the music for so that was pretty awesome paying them in front of people and getting a good reaction!

A friend of mine kicked the night off as he is a solo act he he said afterwards that me and the bass player were tight as hell...a compliment that had me beaming from ear to ear :)

I think the singers g/f got a few clips on her digi cam so if they are good quality I will post them here!

Well that's a comparison I have had before....and do not mind at all! Very humbling infact.
