It's a very good one. But I suggest you buy his "creative coordination and advanced foot technique" very cool!

You wont get much out of either DVD unless you are already a fairly advanced player. The techniques can be difficult, and many are focused around his playing style, and a lot of it isnt the most useful stuff for the beginner drummer.

Its more 'wow' factor than educational.

Go for Billy Ward's Big Time.

Both of his videos are amazing! Truly amazing! I'd recommend the first one to start with. "Creative Control".

We've watched both here in the shop a few times and we figured he should have just started each and every example with (spoken with a heavey German accent)...

"...and here's something else you cannot do..."

His videos are most definately geared for the advanced player. The intent of them is to build complete limb independence, which is less important then learning basic technique. So if you've go the begginer and intermidiate stuff down, go for it.

A while ago when Creative coordination came out, i saw this in a thread. People were saying how creative control is cool and stuff, but it didnt really help their playing much, and alot of stuff is just reaaaalllly hard, but creative coordination was a huge step up and helped them out alot, and really got em going.

Although C-coordination seems alot more crazy and stuff, id put my money on the people on this forum and buy that one instead of crtl.

I would, if I were buying my first educational dvd, get gregg Bissonette's Musical Drumming in Different Styles of Steve Smith's Drumset technique and the History of the US Beat. I think they are a lot more practical and educational in an everyday sense.

Try Rick Lathams for education. Langs seems like a circus act though a very impressive one

i watched a little bit of creative coordination in the guitar center tonight and i have a few questions about it for those of you that own it.forst, does he go into detail about his foot technique, heel up and down and so forth? and second,he started off talking about playing things that are original and not copying things that others have done.how much does he go into this concept and what advice, exercises does he give to develop your own sound and style to start sounding original?
i really want to know the answer to this srtuff because i want to know if i should buy the dvd or not.and just to say,i have his first dvd but did not get much out of it.im sure i could get more if i tried but oh well.

in the creative control dvd TL does start with basics, there are hundreds of exercises and they do start real easy. I thought this one of the best dvds around BUT TL can be very intimidating! Just do one exercise every few days and ignore the advanced stuff until you're ready!

if you check out Bernards clinic/education part of this site you will pick up some great ideas without buying any dvds!!!
