Hi. I got my new 13" Sabian AAX Fasthats the other day. They cost me more than i'd wanted at £249.99 ($440 U.S roughly) but they are definately worth it. They are higher in pitch than im used to but thats what i wanted, they cut through the louder heavier stuff that I play and they are great. The unusual bottom hat with no bell and air holes makes them sound great when closed and really sharp when open. Anyone else got any views on them? or want any of my views on them?

It's the UK. Things over here actually do cost double the list from the US. Why are you guys actually surprised?

Yeah local shop called Farideal Music (sounds like i didnt get that Fair a deal haha, no dont laugh, cheap joke :p) I looked around on the net and i saw some that were a little cheaper but to be honest dno if i wanted to get them through post cuz postage would have been through the roof, they are very heavy little things.

The prices in Norway too, are outrageous! Even more expensive than in the UK.
That is why I allmost never buy stuff here anymore... I get most of my stuff from music123.com
or I get cymbals form cymbalcellar.com. That has worked out for me this far...!

Congrats on you new hats, man! They probably sound like a dream! ( They should, at that price, haha)
Post some pics!

If you ordered them off say musiciansfriend im sure the postage wouldnt be 200 dollars. Anyways good choice AAX cymbals are quality cymbals and should serve you well.

yeah man, aussie prices are really bad too. i bought the pair of vault hi-hats from cymbalsonly.com for $289US + $38US postage, and after the exchange rate they ended out to be around about $415AU. they are charging $809AU at a shop around here!!! it's just so dreadful. i mean, i'm all for supporting local business, but that's just insane.
anyways as for the fast hats, i haven't tried them but they sound like a nifty design. i've tried a/k mastersounds and aax fusion hats, but i dunno, i just didn't like em much.

Well £250 certainly seems a lot, I think you could have easily got them £160-200 delivered. I have used a few shops around the UK which would have done them in that price range and would have delivered next day from a phone order.

Good choice on the hats tho, I have 4 AAX cymbals (14" hats, 16" crash, 17" Xplosion Crash and 20" ride) and I love them.
