This is old school. 1969 Ludwig Strata with virgin double kicks: http://cgi.ebay.com/1969-Ludwig-Blue-Strata-Double-Bass-Drum-Kit-Rare_W0QQitemZ230110950925QQcategoryZ64440QQssPage NameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I like those Ludwigs...they are pretty sweet. I am going to probably try and add more toms soon. I have a 14'' one that is supposed to be a hanging floor tom...but if I can find a stand I'll use it as a rack tom...It would be awesome if I could get like a 16'' and 20'' floor tom and a 8'' and 10'' toms to go over the hi-hat...but these drums are really hard to find...can you believe I bought the drums and hardware (including pedals and hi-hat stand) from my teacher for only $900?

Just keep an eye on eBay. The only drum I'd wanna add would be a 16x16 floor.

Actually since I posted that...I was thinking...I am really very content and happy with the set-up I have now...so if I add anything else it'll be cymbals probably or more cowbells or something of that nature.

Yeah, honestly, how could you not be happy with what you have? I've always been a 5 piece (1 up, 2 down kinda guy) player, sort of. So when I had my double kick Vistalites, I'd still have only 1 rack tom between my kicks. That's why I' d want a 16x16, if anything. I'd move your 12 and 13 left of the hi hat. The 14x14 center. And 2 floors right. I had 2 octobans above my 12 and 13 toms, so there was this quad thing going on left of the hi-hat. Not that you should buy octobans or anything, but they do come in white.

Thats pretty cool...I might look into to octobans...but I am extremely happy with my set and am very grateful for it...I was just kind of dreaming when I talked about adding all those extra drums....I would probably never actually need them.

Come to think I might not even buy the stand for the 14 x 14 tom tom....I have gotten really, really comfortable with my current set-up.

I noticed a thread with your old kit. 2 beginner kits mated together. Yes, you've come a long way, with what you have now. Your RTC's could last you the rest of your life.

Yeah...I have...although I wouldn't really call a Pro M a beginner kit...then again with how bad I was tuning and the way I had it set up and my technique...I made it sound and look like a beginner kit.

For the record I usually don't ever muffle my kick drums with pillows...that room is so small that I had to though.

That's a good looking set of drums. I like the white almost as much as the black. Check out my sig for pics of my RTCs.

If you want a really deep, booming sound, try Aquarian performance 2s. Tune 'em low & let 'em rumble!
