Yeah...my drumming sucks and we have no lyrics yet...but I think we may have some catchy riffs.

sounds pretty good the drumming isn't bad really. don't be so hard on yourself. you guys kill that one riff in the first song... but with lyrics it'll probably be better

Yeah...the drumming isn't terrible...but on the second song I think I may have have slowed down too much...keep in mind on that I was just completely improvising so I was looking for the right feel and I kind of screwed it up...eventually we will record the vocals...if you think the music is kind of strange...then just wait till we get the vocals...it sounds like a much clearer version of the fellow from Six Feet Under...but with a southern draw...and trying to sing with melody....haha..what did you think of the drum solo?...It wasn't suppose to be complicated or show-offy, it was just there more for humor because it just seemed kind of unexpected with the song...you know...just out of no where I start bashing the skins with no rhythm and then goes right back into the riff. I am thinking that it will sound less repeative when we get the vocals recorded...so what did you guys think of the second song..was it good enough to keep if we work on it and add a chorus and a bridge and what-not? By the way do I have somewhat of a good pocket in the first song or is it bad?

Its keyboard set to sound like panpipes...and if you listen closley to the end of the song you can hear one note of a real ocarina playing.

I wouldn't worry about...our lyrics aren't very serious whatsoever. For instance this is a verse from a song we wrote about a tavern (Its the first song on the player):
Free Drinks at The Tipsy Thug!
We give drinks instead of hugs
If your too drunk too leave, then sleep on the rug
Sit down and enjoy a mug
Chug-chug-chugga-chugly-chug
Free Drinks at The Tipsy Thug!

I love this stuff! The first tune has a great riff and I'm mixed as to whether it should have lyrics or not because it would probably sound good either way. And your drumming definitely doesn't suck; I love the unexpected drum solo towards the end. I also like the low rumbling bass. The tune is catchy and will stand up to repeated listenings. You have some great ideas. Keep playing....

OK, my first thought when I read the title of this thread was this - "Being in a D&D based band has gotta be like spraying yourself down with woman-repellant!"
But then I gave a listen, and it's pretty unique. I don't foresee sold-out arenas, but it is fun sounding and fills a certain niche. The drumming is OK, not great, not terrible. I would suggest playing with a click and tightening up the pocket a bit. But mostly, have fun with it!

I haven't. heard of D&D in 20 years when I was 13 I was in a band called "Asmodious" which was the arch-devil in D&D.I never really got into the D&D thing though.
Keep Swatting,

Hey there is a new song up on the band page. It is still lacking vocals and its repeative but I don't think we kill the riff...maybe we do though. Personally, I think its really catchy. Its the one called Kobold's Coleidescope. Tell me what you think. Criticism is totally welcome.
