My band is The Last Disco and this is one of our songs, we have others but my timing is out on them. The singer had a cold as well but apart from that we are happy.
The others are on myspace.com/thelastdisco

The drums are too far forward in the mix but we are gonna get it remastered.

Any comments good or bad are welcome. if you dont like it then tell me.
cheers
Owen

sounds good, your part fits in well with the playing. That's a unique snare sound you have, and I kinda like it. good luck to your band.

Hey that was really nice.Like your bands style and also yours. But there is just a little bit too much reverb for my taste. You are going for a litle bit U2 style wright?

I liked the drumming...I don't think it was distinctly average...I thought it was pretty good. I like your snare sound too. Your band is also good.

That sounds good, your snare does sound great! Really thick, what kind is it?

bivr - thank you, we're not conciously going for it but the lead guitarist does like them and he does like his reverb, you can really hear it on Black City Streets on our myspace. That's probably a better (or at least more unique) song but i screwed up my first note, then hte hi hat broke but i kept going and it took me until the half way point to regain composure, and there are two glaring mistakes, then it irons out and sounds very tight for the second half, the first time i heard the guitar solo recorded it sent shivers down my spine.

NoD - thank you as well, the snare is a chad smith, I borrowed it from the studio for the recording and ended up getting one for myself, its very loud and so am I and it has to be left unmiked for our smaller gigs, i LOVE it...

Yeah...the Chad Smith snare drums are awesome! I would get one if I wasn't so cheap and didn't love my huge Yamaha snare so much.
