Hi everybody ! I'd like to introduce this drummer to you. James Kottak is the actual drummer of SCORPIONS, he's a real showman, totally crazy, a real rocker !

Nobody knows that drummer ? Nobody have seen him on stage ?

Of course we have heard of him. Well, a good portion of us at-least. Some of the members here are a little on the younger side and the Scorpions kinda out-date them. OMG.....I'm getting old! Hey, I heard that they are going on tour soon...or has it already started?

As, for the drummer......he defiately fits the Scorpions style and he doesn't dominate the songs with flare....but he definately has great balance with his showmanship during shows.

James is no stranger to those into hard rock.

He first became "famous" with platinum rockers Kingdom Come back in the late 80's. Their first two albums were produced by the legendary Keith Olsen and James quickly became his number session drummer. Therefore, James got to drum on many albums of which No Sweat's self-titled album and Wild Horses' "Bareback".

He also played with MSG and Warrant amongst others.

I recently seen him live in Nicosia, Cyprus with The Scorpions. I really do not like them but I went for James. Very solid player with a heavy groove a la Bonham. Great showman !

Hey, I heard that they are going on tour soon...or has it already started?

It has already started, and almost ended for this year. We would have to wait 2006 or 2007 for the next tour. The next album is for April 2006.

And James is really a scorpions member, his playing is so better than the previous drummer herman rarebell, he brings the "crazy" part that herman hadn't. I really like this guy, he's so ROCK N' ROLL !!!!! :)

I saw James with the Scorps a couple of years ago, I hadn't heard of him before the show. I knew by the first sight of his kit before he ever came onstage that he was going to be a real showman, two huge kicks, one tom in the center, floor toms off to the side with all his cymbals out to the sides, not exactly in easy reach, all signs of a kit geared to a very animated, showy type drummer & he indeed did not disappoint. Very solid, powerful drummer with all the right flash & tricks that unlike some, do not hinder or detract from his ability to drum very well.

He's also married to Tommy Lee's sister, Athena. They're both in a band (I think it's still around) called Krunk. She plays drums and he plays guitar and sings.

This guy is from my neighborhood in Louisville, Ky. When we were kids we used to listen to him practice by standing outside of his window !! No kidding !
