well, a guy offered me a premier signia 6 piece set:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200088551148
that one.. for 1200+ shipping. I am not very familiar with premier drums, so im not sure how the lines of drums work. What are the equivalents of this drumset, and is this a good buy?
BTW: this is for a church and id appreciate if u didnt buy it.. lol

It's an older Premier set, but it was one of their top lines. Sleepy Bright Eyez knows his Premier better than most I do believe. They're really excellent quality drums and I would be happy to put them side-to-side with a lot of the best that's made now. $1,200 sounds like a fair deal, but if you can knock him down to a little less then that'd be better (obviously). $1,200 is probably about right. How much would the shipping cost you?
Those are nice, nice tubs. I'd happily get a set.
EDIT: Looks like he's selling the cymbals with it too. Either get him to sell the drums separately for less or take the cymbals, that's a good deal considering he's adding those in. My only concern is shipping.

$1,400 isn't bad. If you can get it down a little then it'll be a good price. The Signia is a very nice kit indeed. If it were being offered to me for £700 UK (basically equivalent price) I would take it up, provided I had the finances.

Looks like a good deal to me, nice set of cymbals, kit looks in good shape, its a good kit, nice set of hardware thrown in too- I'd say go for it. Like MFB said though, try to knock down the price a little bit, i got $200 off a set once, so its all the better to try

Tama, I already replied to your PM but I figured I'd post here as well, in case anyone else was interested. I am a Premier owner but certainly no expert (thanks MFB :). I did do some research for you though. Signias were top of the line from Premier when they came out (no longer made). Most that I have seen for sale were over $1500, some over $2k. I read about a couple people finding them for just under $1k, but everyone said that was an awesome deal for that kit.
If you don't like the cymbals he's selling with it, you can always resell them or trade them in towards new cymbals. I bet that kit sounds as good if not better than current kits in the $1200 range. I like my Premier kit. It's an APK from '88 I believe, but it's pretty beat up. I'm trading it in towards my new kit, but it has served me well for the ten years I've been the owner.
