Hello all
I was looking through the internet when I found this kit. It is a ddrum diablo death punx double bass drum kit. I have fallen in love with it and want one desperately. It costs about £600 ($1000). Is it worth it because i am thinking about buying one.
any comment etc welcome.

For a little more, you can get a better quality diatribe kit from ddrum.

I own a dominion ash player..........I would stay away from the punx series...not a good sounding kit IMO..

What is your budget? There are other kits that are better in this price range....

I just realized you wrote 600lbs, not dollars. That Punx kit will cost you $1k... For less than that ($640 cheapest I've seen) you can get an older ddrum Diatribe kit with hardware. You could use the money you save to buy a really nice double kick pedal, or even order an extra kick drum if you really want two kicks. For around $1k you can get a ddrum Dominion kit. I'm only paying $800-850 for a new '07 Diatribe kit with no hardware, but I'm paying extra for an extra floor tom and the blue sparkle lacquer finish.

I've played on a Diatribe and I absolutely love them. I've heard great reviews about the Dominion line as well. I may be wrong, but I think the Punx line uses plastic lugs (yikes!). I highly encourage you to try out one of the Diatribe or Dominion kits. If you like the Punx line, I think you will really love the other two. I think the Diatribe and Dominion lines are basically the same aside from the type of wood they use and finish options. Dominion comes in maple or ash and the Diatribe is birch/basswood.

I alway feel that the Punx line feels a bit cheap, and it has a flat, dead sound. Any other ddrums, I would recommend- the Diatribe,as mentioned, is great.
