ive been considering investing in buying a new cymbal in which i will install rivets, ive considered a chain sizzler, but there definitely is a difference
im somewhat in the dark about what cymbal to get, possibly a 18 inch crash/ride?

Check out either istanbul or bosphorus over at www.cymbalsonly.com (http://www.cymbalsonly.com) especially in the Turkish series. I think they'll be exactly what you're looking for. Email tony@cymbalsonly.com too and he can help you find exactly what you want.

Zildjian Avedis Armand 19" Ride with three rivets. Great sounding cymbal. Fourstringdrums's advice is great too. Definitely check out cymbalsonly.com

YES! =)
That is also my answer on those question. It`s really worth it to check out this site!
Oh yeah, and I also bought a Ride from this shop...it`s a riveted Ride, an Istanbul AGop Mel Lewis Sig Ride 21". For more details you can read in its thread here:

I`m sure you can find the right there...maybe you like the Mel Lewis? It`s such a great Ride, such a precise stick definition, so well crashable. :-)

The Bosphorus Traditional, Masters, Hammer and New Orleans Series all sound great with rivets or a sizzle chain.

How would you like thinner Turks with rivets or a sizzle chain? I once tried a sizzle chain with my K Custom Dry Light Ride and I was fairly impressed by that sound. Kinda unique.
So, why always combine the sweet sound with the sizzling, why not combining the rough unlathed sound with this sizzling? =)
I personally liked it, how about you?

there's a few already riveted zildjian rides, like the A sizzle ride, the A Armand ride (i saw rendevous_drummer already said that though), K Custom left side ride, and i believe there's even an A Custom sizzle ride nowadays.
Personally i'd like to hear a flat ride with some rivets in it.

i have the a custom sizzle ride and it sounds great! It is very light with a great sizzle. It is great for ballads with brushes. It is very bright and not trashy, unlike the left side ride. I would recommend it if you play jazz.
P.S- If you have ever heard Matt Wilson live, he uses it on his left side (most of the time).
