I see someone likes their Travis :)
Good job here too, only a few things off, but just minor stuff and me being picky. Again good job.

thanks for the watch
and Yes yes i like my travis. he was prob my first drum idol and im currently working on trying to cover a good amount of his stuff. but i dont wanna get mistaken as one of those 14 year old travis barker worshippers. (im 16 btw ) I also look up to and admire the greats such as moon, bonham, peart. I am also in liking to chad smith. love his groove

is it a requirement to headbang in halftime when you play travis barker stuff?

Everyone on youtube does it...

is it a requirement to post negative pointless comments. no. so if u dont have something constructive to say about my playing then dont say anything at all.

and no its not a requirement to 'head bang"....but when i play i get into my music. I use it as almost a time keeping method. If i were playing 1/2 time chili peppers songs id be doing the same thing.

Pretty good drumming. I really didn't like the song though

and you dont have to set up your kit or head bang like him. That bothers me for some reason

it wasn't a negative comment... more a joke, really. As for your playing, it's pretty much right on with the track.

I'm sure i do something strange with my body when I play too, but it just seems like everytime i see someone playing travis barker stuff they do that headbang on 2 and 4 thing. I can understand liking someone's style so much that you set up your kit like them, but emulating their body movements seems a little extreme.

I never got into Blink or Boxcar racer, but I love his drumming with the transplants. Especially knowing he tracked alot of that stuff in the bus, one instrument at a time. That said, I have seen Blink live, twice and Barker is indeed a technically advanced drummer. It just makes me sad to see a crowd of 10,000 people go crazy when all he does in a solo is single stroke rolls and a few breakbeats...

I guess if you can't even handle a good natured sarcastic dig (which really wasn't even aimed specifically at you), you shouldn't post videos...

Im glad that you thought the drumming was pretty good but listen to what i said in my previous post about the 'head banging". im not gonna go over that again. and as far as the set up...thats my same EXACT set up i usually have when playing other types of music (classic rock, funk, rock ect..) except the rack tom is lowered down to the snare level. Its alot easier to play faster songs and punk style drumming with all drums at one level. Im not setting my set up just to be like him if thats what you're thinking. I adapt my set style to the type of music.

Well when your whole post consists of this sarcastic joke and nothing else about technique or playing then its different. And ive been posting vids on this site for over a year now. I think I can handle a joke.

I cant see how a set up will make you faster, maybe mentally it makes you think your faster. If anything a set up like that will slow you down because you have to really bend the wrist to go lean over the snare and hit the tom flat. and reach to hit them cymbals. Lets face it the barker technique will only lead to you're wrists messed up, He's the last person that drummers should copy his technique

How could a set up not make u faster?? Its all about placement of drums. If u have to reach up to get to a drum and then back down to another drums its gonna take u more engery and effort that u cannot spare when playing sons that are like 160 bpm or more. Why do u think alot of punk drummers have low set ups?

yea reaching down bending the wrists to hit my drums then reaching way up to hit the cymbals yea sure does make you faster.... Maybe if you have like 1990's lars angles and 4 rack toms yea you can have some faster speed, so yea your kinda right

Why does it matter what other punk drummers have there set up. No way thats comfortable to the 1000's who have it like that, its a typical image thing

First off my cymbals are not way up so i dont have to reach high at all. and secondly all my toms are at the same level as the snare so its the same position of the wrist as stiking the snare.

It shouldn't bother you how someone else plays or sets up their drums. Maybe if he got a mohawk, same tattoos, ocdp acrylic, or changed his name to travis barker or something. But personally I'd rather see someone "headbang" than sit their like a stone.

-As for the drumming pretty much nailed it travis is a good drummer to learn from, better thana tre cool or somethin.

Thank you. This is kind of the point of been trying to get across. Im not a travis barker nut where i copy his set, his moves, and his lifestyle. I admire him and hes a cool guy but i dont do anything to handicap my playing just so i can be like him. And as ive said before the 'headbanging" is a weird time keeping method ive come acustome to. Thanks for undestanding my point of view and thanks for watching !
