Wow! I'm impressed! I love your jazz/fusion style solo work, ToPrAle! Very clean and a great "layout" of a solo. And the way you switch around to different methods of how you want it to proceed is well thought out! Excellent! Please...Play On! ;-)

I'm glad I could offer such a "bright" comment to you, ToPrAle! But I'm only speaking from the heart, and the truth is, you have a fantastic future in percussion, if you don't already!

It's always refreshing to see another drummer contiribute a video of how they like to "git r done" on the skins! And it's quite obvious that you've been playing for a while and that you have the confidence to proceed forward with the "tools" you have learned and perfected! Keep Up the great work, and hope to see more of you, soon! Play On!

Nice job man! I couldn't have done it better myself, that's for sure. Your really fast and quite precise too! And I love the variaty you try to create by trying out all kinds of stuff. Although I really feel like your going in a certain direction qua style.

If I have to name one minor negative point, it would probably be that in sometimes it's a bit chaotic and the transistions from one beat to another are not always as fluently as they should be imo, bit hey, who am I?

Defintly great playing, overall, and your certainly on a higher level then I am, congratz! Keep it going.

i completely agree with you!!! you know what?... all the solos i play are completly improvised, may be i think at a melody may be somthing else... but sometimes.. ther is this All of a sudden transition...EhHE Bob Moses told me the same thing... may be with hard word i'll achive a complete ability to make an effrtles and sensed solos... really tnx for your comment!!! the comments i realy like are like this one

I watched the whole thing....thats a good sign!
I was entertained all the way through.
My only advice is to syncopate with the hi hat more like John Bonham....
Your very good and very talented, Cheers

Hi. I can see your name on the home page of drummerworld. Great brush work. Your solos showed me that you dont have to do constant fills to make a good solo. Great stuff man. I have been playing for about 4 years and i can learn a lot from those solos.

Wow. A beautiful and musical drum solo. I expected something no where near that level of sophistication in a drum solo. You my friend are a great drummer, keep up the fantastic work!

I absolutely loved this. The playing is so tastefull. The solo is well structured (not just every lick you can remember) and your playing is clean and technically sound. A very big A+.

Also, i forgot, the creativity on the brushwork solo was very commendable. Are you sure you're not endorsed?

WOW!!! That was an inspiration....This is definately the direction I would like to head in my future. Straight ahead grooves that are complex at times but you make them look easy. Great work!!!! I wanna see more

I love the way you make use of everything that is within your reach. Your playing is technical without being showy; you aren't afraid to let the silences between your notes do the speaking. Most drum solos that I hear tend to feature as many notes as can be crammed into each mili-second; you let the mili-seconds make their own statements. I find this very effective. I think that one of the chief reasons I do not do drum solos is because the world is already full of eloquent players like you. Your style reminds me both of Steve Gadd and Bill Bruford. Thank you for posting your videos.

Thanks for your very kind words! ! i'm posting to share my passion with other people like you!! remember this.. no matter what your hands or your technique can do, the most of the job is listen and internalize, as you did with my video, i'm shure you'll play amazing solos one day!! just don't be afraid of it! i had the same feeling you had, years ago, i was like... ohh! i don't play solos! but it'a part of the game.. may be for 2 years you concentrate your self to groove as good as possible...

thanks again! Ciao

man that was incredible...how long have you been playing??

in certain ways you remind me of a much more talented and musically eleqount version of myself on drums...your ideas are at the core, very similar to mine...however you are a much more musical drummer than i...you're light on those skins, whereas im heavy....you play with silence...i keep something going...to be able to do what you do would be magnificent....

nice stuff!

cIAO!

the snare is different from a video to another... i guess you mean the little one.. you know what. it's a 12" inches size manu katche junior kit snare drum!! may beit s to small to be really versatile but i love it. i have the factory head mounted and i played with it 350 concert!!! is still sounds good!!! just cause te snare is good!! :D i beleive that the best diameter for a snare is 13" but.. it's just my opinion! you shoud try! tnx for comment!

Excellent articulation and syncopation--I challenge anybody who thinks that the drums can not play a "musical" solo to listen to you.

My favorite thing about your work is that it's relaxed. With no offense to any particular individual, I get sooooooo tired of hearing young guys simply banging away at a moderately-fast funk beat, and often with poor-sounding drums.

It's nice to hear someone leave play some good-sounding drums and cymbals, play with good time, leave some space, use dynamics, create "sections", like a song, etc.. Thank you for that.

:D it's too mutch! thanks to you my friend.. you know sometimes happens sometimes not... i'm trying to catch and understand te "magic" of a drum solo, watching other player trying different approaches.. but it still one step forward from me!! that's crazy! :D
