good? bad? any experiences with them? i was considering getting both of them, in the white finish to match my hi-hats. i've heard the sound samples on paiste's site but since buying my AA Metal-X i can never really trust those things. i loved the sound of it on the sound check but when i got it in from order it sounded blergh.

so, ?????

I've got an older 18in Rude Crash/Ride. It is a loud and cutting cymbal. The bell has a really nice sound too. I don't use it as a crash all that often, as it is a bit too "clangy" when crashed, IMO.

It is a good ride if you really want to be heard through the mix, lots of attack, but a bit on the washy side, but again, it has a great sounding bell.

now thats useless 14" crashes??????????? what the hell..as for the question refering to proper crash sizes the rudes are wicked i have owned a 20" ride/crash and a 19" thin crash and they are great cymbals, i prefer the signature power crashes though they may not be as loud but they are brighter therefore they seem too cut better...

Um, higher pitched crash? Just a thought.
eBay is a good place for older RUDEs. Paiste will want an arm and a leg (quite literally) before they make a custom cymbal, from what I've heard and read.

Some one on here had a mini 2002 china made for him. It does cost abit more but its def possible.

*eyeroll* What's wrong with a 14" RUDE crash? I want a smaller crash on my kit that'll hold up ... not useless at all to me!

Although I will agree with you on the Sig. Power Crashes.

I tried out a Paiste Rude ride yesturday. I'm not sure of the exact size, but I liked the rough finish. There was plenty of attack and it had a nice tone.
