Hey guys....I'm poking my head back in here to follow up on my post a couple of weeks ago (http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23152).
I've been EXTREMELY busy as expected. My goal is go get the shopping cart and web site up by the end of the week. It'll mostly be a handful of snares and cymbals but it's a start. Adding inventory records and pics into the database will be a never ending process.
I hope to becoming back to this forum more regularly soon. In the meantime, here's some great drum "porn". ENJOY!! Mapex fans will dig these pics! It's a GREAT sounding Orion kit.

Thanks dudes!!
I'm absolutely swamped in work!
By the way, don't ever buy an HP Photosmart. I bought one for the business and it's an absolute piece of junk. It takes terrible indoor pics (and I do know how to take good pics). It was so bad, I sent it back thinking it was defective and they sent me a "like new" replacement and it sucks just as bad. I paid $300 for this thing and my cheap generic $99 camera does a better job. OK - end of rant.
Thanks for the compliments!!!
Stay tuned.

Thanks Karl. You guys ain't seen nuthin' yet. =)
Here's some more. If you guys have the Mapex 2007 catalog, there's a kit on the back cover. It's a 2007 7pc Saturn in Electric Berry Burst. This IS that very same kit (as I was told). This is the FIRST Saturn to be produced in that finish. Cool huh??
Enjoy.

HOLY COW.
I live in Richmond, and I've been reading this forum all the time for the last few weeks, and I completely missed this!
I'm sortof pissed off at myself right now. I've bought a bunch of various crap at the two bignames out on Broad street the last few weeks, makes me feel like I'm not living up to my usual belief in supporting local businesses! (Metro is neat, and the owner is a friend of our guitar players, but it's a CRAP drumstore). Maybe I'll stop by on the way home from work today. Been thinking of switching up sticks anyway! What's the location? (probably already posted and I just missed it)

As I said, the deadly internet ate my longer post last night, but I wanted to make sure to voice my support for a great store. Even if I hadn't been told "well we don't really have all our inventory in yet" I would have been impressed. I was all the more impressed when he told me that most of the good cymbals were on the display kits, which - at 5'6" I couldn't see! There were still plenty of great looking cymbals on the floor, a K Custom Flat Ride, and a pair of Sabian HH Fusion hats caught my eye, and I was convinced to even try out the ZHTs. I will admit they really do sound like a legit musical instrument! There were some really cool snares, including some of the small diameter/large depth snares that have been intriguing me lately. I also saw my first "in person" GMS kit.
To top it off, unlike the two local bignames, these guys actually had all their sticks in the right slots and out on the sales floor. I'd been looking to move up to something heavier than the 7As I've been using, but not all the way to a 5A (I know, I know, look at the big meathead with his itty bitty widdle sticks) - he actually had the Weckl and Zoro Vic Firth Sig models in their correct slots. Picked up a pair of each! Looking forward to a longer look around this weekend.
EAT LOCAL, SHOP LOCAL!

Best of luck from a jealous dude. Looks like fun but we all know it has been and will continue to be hard work at first. With the hard work will come success. You know you will have a huge advertisement data base right here on DW. I can see a cute little blonde( the one in your avatar) learning the business from the bottom up. Just remember those child labor laws and all of the best to you. Will be looking forward to the website.

You should check out the little Canon's. My mother in law has one and it is real nice. I'd love to buy one for myself to carry with me because they are so small. We have a Nikon D50 as well.
I'm loving the pics of the shop so far. I wish you had some 07 ddrum Diatribe kits in. :)

Wanted to say congratulations along with everyone else. Very very good looking shop you got there. If I was close by I would deifntely check it out. However if you are selling the Carter Beauford Pro-Mark sticks online you can count on me to get a pair, I love those things. Good Luck!

Pretty much. We're now open but the floor changes from day to day. I'm trying to grow the percusison inventory now. Hand drums, congas. bongos, etc.

I'm really stoked that y'all are rolling premier these days.
they are terrrrrrific drums.
My first choice right now for "the set" that I want for this band is something vintage, but if I can't find that in affordable prices, something like that premier would be perfect (especially since 20" is where I want to go with the BD)
Hope to make it down to the shop again soon, and if I don't I still hope to ensure that myself and some other folks make the clinic on Saturday!

Going good. Thanks for asking. I'm always busy as one might expect. I had a rep from a big brand name that knows (and hopefully loves) come in my shop earlier this week and offer their line of drums. So we're VERY excited. I can't say the name yet but will let it be known in about 30 days. I can't wait to announce it!!
