just saw these on MidwestPercussion.com

http://www.midwestpercussion.com/hardware/dw_8000_pedals.html

They look beefy as hell.

Anyone know anything more, or have tried them out?

No I have never seen those. Wow, those look like some awesome pedals though. I can't wait till they come out, I might look into these. They look pretty much the same as the 9000's though, but thats probably just me.

I own a 5000. These are supposed to be between the 5000 and the 9000. Needless to say their action will be excellent and they will be well built, but maybe have a few flaws like pricing and the footboard strength.

I thought the 7000 was between the 5000 and the 9000?

No, the 5000 and 9000 are better pedals. Or atleast "pro-level" i would say. The 7000 is a step below, but still an absolutley great pedal.

5000 and 9000 are both better than 7000 pedals (and 4000 pedals, which need not be mentioned). The 8000s look to pretty much be the same as 5000s but with beefier cast parts.

Anyway, I like them, but I'll wait for some reviews to come out before selling my 5000s...

Haha, I was just talking about numbers. I know there better. But anyway, are they going to be better than the 9000's?

like i'm shure everyone knows by reading other posts, the "levels" of DW pedals goes 4000 (basically the pdp 400, a beginner-intermidiate pedal), 7000 (way better than 4000, but not quite as nice as a,) 5000, 8000 (basically a fancier 5000), and the god of all pedals, the 9000.

my favorite is the new 8000 "black diamond" longboard pedal that just came out. you can use it just like an axis or trick pedal, but its got that ever so familiar feel and no-risk quality of a DW.

but yeah they're all great products so just get what you like best.
