Zildjian Z custom Mega Bell Ride ....i played one of these the other day and i almost thought about buying one because it made me laugh so much..bloody hell has it got a bell...the rest of the cymbal is useless but the massive bell on it is sooooo loud.. anybody got one ??

Sounds great! I have an A Custom 20 inch ping ride and the bell has lots of spank. I started a thread a while back on the spankiest cymbal and this Mega Bell Ride sounds like it would take the prize.

As I was palying my gig last night, I was wondering why I set up a ride cymbal in the first place. I should just set up a Zil-Bel or something like that. This pop gig had only one song which requires a ride cymbal and it was the bell I was using!

I want one of these Rides soooo bad! I grew up listening to Aerosmith and Joey Kramer plays one of these.... so I just though that's how a ride was supposed to sound... I think I'm going to buy one this year.

It's not just the non-bell area of the cymbal that's useless, the entire cymbal is! :P

thats why i fancied buying it because it is just a funny cymbal.. useless yes but funny..

Its a bell with hunks of metal attached to all sides......but it does have some a bell. A bell that is loud. I played it once and have become terrified of the "cymbal".

This reminds of the YES album Big Generator on which one of those Zildjian Z Power Rides was used! I kept hearing some awful noise and thought that it was an extra guitar track.

I've just listened to "Love Will Find A Way" from Big Generator. It's kinda clangy, it's definately not the best ride to be used for such a song.
