Yeah, I just scored this rack on ebay for $225, brand new, with alot of extra clamps and booms thrown in.

I agree. I happen to pay $400 for the curved front and straight side cross members with three posts with two boom arms caps and a collection of memory locks and accessory clamps.

You'll ask yourself why you never spent the money before this...

I gave up on trying to find someone who'd sell me the left side for a decent price...bought the Gibraltar V-rack extension instead ($110). Same size tube. Works good for my setup and the clamps are close enough in quality to the PDP that I can't complain in the slightest.

Hmm. I luckily avoided that problem by buying two PDP racks. Between the PDPs, Peace DR (junk, but the tubing's good, LOL), and my Gibraltar, I have one set up in my practice room, and one that I gig with.

Honestly, if you need the side, PM me; I have enough rack as is. The side portion of the new PDP has never been used.

So I got my rack yesterday and it is sweet! I have the 10", 12", 14" toms positioned perfectly how I want them up top. Two crashes on the corners, and a 8" and 10" splash between the 3 toms. I would have took pics, but I left my camera at work. The only thing I didn't like was the PDP ratchet/boom pieces. I ended up using my Tama booms instead.

I didn't like the quality of them. I had upgraded all my Tama hardware previously when I was playing my older Superstars. I love the roadpro series hardware and you can just see the difference in quality. The length wasn't any problem. I'm sure the DW one's are better though. I still needed to keep a couple stands for when I won't be using the rack, so I took the top portions of those stands and inserted in the corner sections of the rack. The smaller ratchet/booms I used for the 2 splashes. As far as never getting one earlier, I really didn't need it because of the bass drum mount for toms. Having a virgin kick changes everything.

I'm still using the booms that came with the rack. Have a 16 and 18.5 on each and they haven't moved, broken, loosened, etc. I agree on the substantial difference in buying hardware that is visually beefier, but these will do.

Still nice to be on a rack regardless...

I think they would have held up fine, but I like the cymbal mate lock down, the tilters have better adjustability, the ratchet adjustment is better also and the reversible bottom is sweet. I could really see and feel a difference in quality and it didn't have to do with being beefier either.I just figured if I had a choice between the two I would take the Tama and sell the PDP pieces, which I had no problem selling.

Well, I finally got my DW STM mounts to replace the RIMS mounts, assorted clamps, ratchet booms, upgraded cymbals, and everything memory locked in place. Here's a rear view pic. This rack really lets me get everything right where I want it.

Hello People, I'm new here. I need some regarding a Rack that I'm going to get.
I've ordered for the PDP X7 with the PDP rack to mount toms and cymbals.
Here is pieces from my order form:

Please tell me if I've missed out anything for a setup that'll have 3 toms on the rack( for which I've ordered the TA 10 arm) and the 14" and 16" as floor toms.
In the 9000 series hardware pack I get 2 cymbal stand and the rack has 2 boom arms on the vertical pipes. But my setup is with 8 cymbals, please check the pdf for a rough idea of my setup. I need help regarding the 4 extra cymbals, what would be the best way to rig them.
Please advice and suggest so I can work on those combinations.
