Well, i usually tune my toms fairly high, pretty much your standard jazz tuning (even for when i play rock music). Snare batter and resonant are also tensioned quite high, but not so much as to choke the drum. I also have a 24-strand puresound snare on there, and the drum is quite loud, sensitive, and has a nice ring to it as well. Bass drum is tensioned higher than one might think, however it still has a nice deep growl to it (i plan on replacing the bass drum heads soon).

I also tune mine pretty high too. And I play a bit of jazz but mainly classic rock. I dont have near as nice a kit as you do however. I have an nicely maintained Pearl ELX kit. If ya ever get em recorded would sure love to hear em

well actually your pearl drums are somewhat equivalent to my kit, seeing as how my drums are only older yamaha stage customs, which are pretty much a similar level kit as the pearl exports. It just goes to show what can be done with a intermediate level kit!

You should get rid of that dust, not doing those drums justice at all

i couldn't agree more... they definetly need a good dusting, i should get to it.

P.S.: Polly wants a crack rock! Are you a desert sessions fan?

All that work for 3 comments? No one has anything to say? Any sort of comments would be appreciated, negative, positive, up to you.
