i bought them all in one package. just the shells under 1000CAD. not bad. i think it was like 940 with tax and the guy through in a set of soft cases for like 50$. the snare is amazing, and i paid like 70$ for it at a used music store in Toronto a while back.

Love the wood finish, and the cymbals. And you say you've been only playing for a year? Pretty nice kit for someone who has only played a year. Is that your first kit or second?

Ya, the wood finish is great, pictures don't do it justice at all. It is my second kit. my first was a pearl export, but it was a early 90's one and it was what my sister played when she was into drums. i picked them up in grade 11 early and i was better at them then guitar and i played guitar for almost 4 years. now i take lessons and i bought all the stuff with my own money.
so its my second kit.

The kit sort of reminds me of Keith Carlock's set-up... are you a fan of him?

Oh man, i haven't looked at this thread in a while, i never noticed all the compliments! haha!
well firstly, THANKS ALOT guys, i am still setting my kit up very similar to this, i think i've found something i can utilize. i don't always play with 2 floor toms though. i am just looking to add a china to it.
our guitarist used to have pretty long hair, and recently cut it, so thats funny you say he looks like Karl.
i have not heard of Keith Carlock, i just set up my drums like this one day and it stuck. i have my snare completely FLAT now, which it wasn't due the nature of the stand and i was not familiar with it when i recorded this stuff...
i have mp3s up of my band in the MY PLAYING section! were releasing a 12-14 song EP in the next month, were gonna try to get it fully printed and stamped professionally, It will be available on myspace through paypal.
i should have checked this, i guess i wasn't on here for the time that it got the majority of its compliments.
Cheers.

Hey man!!! I'm suprised you got those drums for so cheap. I live in hamilton to so without any good drum shops in my area i always aend up paying more than I should for worse equipment. But whatever, kit looks great I listened to some stuff and your band sounds great. Keep me posted on where your next show is.

Personally i want new hats, i find new beats, not my style, i like mastersound, or straight up A custom regular Hats.
as for the battle of the bands, we Won, cash and a trophy. not bad. i had a hockey tournament that weekend so i left early to get back to brantford, then i called my friend who was in another band, which are good. I was like "so dave, did you guys win" he was like ah, we won best original, i was like cool. then he was oh and.... you guys won the whole thing, i couldn't believe it.
pretty good feeling.
