This is the place to post your White, Black, Grey, Silver, Charcoal, or any similar color drums here! Having a blue to black fade, or red to black fade doesnt count, unless its MOSTLEY black, with a tiny hint of blue.
The rules are simple, try to keep the comments to a minimum, and if you have an above colored kit, try to include pictures of it with the comments you write, to prevent from flooding the pictures out with comments.
remember, KEEP IT GOING!

Is westbury a custom, or no name brand? This is now the second time ive heard the name, so it got me wondering. Either that, or its a new brand.
I figured i should contribute to this thread as well. Heres my first kit, which was a black groove percussion. I love the new kit i upgraded to =D
This is after i got a cymbal pack (kit only came with a hi hat, and crash/ride combo), double bass pedals (brand new, with the marshmellow beaters and all), a new double legged hi hat stand, and new heads all around, including reso toms and snare, just not a resonant bass head.

that was when everything looked good. Heres right before i sold the kit, after all the hardware was falling apart, not letting me mount everything where i wanted it.

Were these colour orientated threads primarily to show off your kit and old kit many times?
The color threads are made so people can browse through kits all the warm colors, or kits all the cool colors, or kits all the neurtral colors. Some people have a thing for redish drums, and like to look through a galery of similar colored drums. Dont get the impression that im showing off my kit just because i have a lot of pictures of them. Yes, i do tend to be a picture whore at time, because im proud of my drums, and after saving up to get it, its a rewarding feeling.
But if you noticed, I generaly only post them where they should be. In the blue kit thread, and in the SPECIFIC pictures thread, for everyone to post there kit. I only show off my old kit in the specific kit for showing off your old kit, and in the black kit thread, as well as the specific pictures thread.
If you noticed, i havnt made a thread to show off my kit, filling up all the space on this section of the site, and i dont plan to, untill i get a new kit, which will be very far from now.
Also, if i wanted to make this just to show off my drums, i wouldnt have encouraged people to keep posting pictures of their kit, but would have just said "hey, look at my cool blue drums! post a reply saying they look cool so i can feel good about myself!"
And the person with the charcoal natural pdps, those look really nice. I was pretty sure i was going to go with that color, but then i asked to see the blue to black fade, and i just fell in love. Ive also had a thing for blue drums, and natural-ish colored drums, in a fade with another color. The kit probly belongs better in the Natural/red/orange drums thread, but it fits here fine.

dude... you win.
I covet your snare collection in the background... wow.
My first kit was a rogers R360, and it was neglected beyond belief but I fixed it up and made it OK. While I had it I learned as much as I could about Rogers kits and eventually learned that mine, no matter how fixed up, was a POS. But to own a nice vintage rogers kit would be absolutely great, let alone THREE nice vintage rogers kits... congrats.

2. Older picture, without rack.
3. Another old picture.
I'm going to try and get some nice photos with the rack once I get the rest of my gear home. Right now they're over at my band's practice space with the Sonor kit. My Sonor kit's black too, but I don't have any pictures of it.
Edit: the attachements on the forum won't upload, so I guess I have to use imageshack...

Hey does anyone know where to get a bass head like this?
it is probably a decal, and that one isn't too good. You can get a really nice one for only 20 bucks to slap on a white reso from ebay. Just specify what initials you want and what color for the decal (black for whtie heads, white for black heads)

Those pinstripes actually look real nice! I've seen a few guys try to add stripes or something like that to their kit, and usually it looks like crap IMO.

Thanks and thanks. I was aware of the fact that it could easily end up looking tacky and tried to keep it understated.
