Cool. What kind of sound are you getting from the High Energy? I may get that head next for my snare cos my ST Dry is abit too much

Alot ok crack out of the center. Very much a rock sound and a hazy kinda jazz sound from the coating around the dot. Though I've heard that it just kills the sound out of a wooden drum but is excelent on a a metal or acrylic(like mine) shell.

Theres no coating on the dot of a hi energy, its a powerdot

Hey zil.

I come here when MX get boring.

I was reffering to the area around the dot and I used coating for lack of a better term

I really like the blue in those drums. Ive seen the finish in person, and it really is nice. How do you like that stand? I might get one in the far future to match my pedals.

I got bored and changed my setup a bit since I hadn't set it up since band practice yet. I'm not gonna keep it but it's fun for now.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but are you going to get regular cymbals? Or is there some reason you don't want the normal ones? But man, you have an AWESOME looking kit. I love that finish.

Yeah, it's been asked in another thread and it looks like I will be able to get cymbals sooner than I thought. You see, I needed to sve for a vehicle seeing as I turn 16 in about 2 1/2 weeks. I am out of a job till about 2 weeks me thinks, i'm not sure though. Well I was gonna have to save up about $1000 for the vehicle my parents had lined up for me, but I grew out of it and my bro's car died so he took it. Well, Recently we've found a Chevy s-10 Blazer for sale for $850 OBO. And my part of the deal is I buy half of it and pay for insurance and everything one it is mine. So, I got $300 some in the bank and am gonna add about $400 to that after I sell my e-kit to my chiropractor, Then I ref and I got 3 games till the end of the season and that'll bring in $85 so I got the truck and the first insurance payments covered right there and I still got money in the bank. So, after I got the insurance taken care of, I'll set aside a couple hundred incase of an accident, Then I'll buy new heads for everything, Then I'm gonna start Saving for a new pedal and cymbals custom made by Saluda.

That isn't my normal setup btw. That was just something I was messing around with.

Hey dude awesome set, I love that finish (blue is my favorite color). I've been looking for a nice intermediate set lately and Mapex seems like the right choice. I haven't even tried one yet, haha, but I just love those kits.

I like the sound it gives me, but acrylic is pretty one dimensional. I'd reccomend a blackpanther maple or going to a store and trying all the snares there.
