I did a gig tonight with an acoustic guitarist and a rapper. This was my setup.
Guess which one's the rapper.

Word, I love tiny setups. I should probably already know this, but what hats are those?

Yeah...love the tiny setup. And that appears to be one high quality tiny setup.

Paiste Innovations, bought in 2001, now discontinued. To be honest they're the part of my setup I'm the least keen on; it's time for some new hats.

Nice set-up. I love that bass drum. Beech custom? What does the pedal on the left hit?

Beech custom indeed, sir. The second hi-hat pedal sometimes hits a cowbell. Last night it wasn't hitting anything.

A good ol' Mapex Black Panther.

Yeah but unfortunately I can't use this jazzy setup for most of my gigs. I'm usually playing rock for which my setup is all Paiste, so if I do get new hats I'd really have to get rock ones that fit with my Paistes. I would love some proper jazz hats, but they'll have to wait.

How did you stay awake long enough to hit anything? I have actually had to play with less than that a couple of times and was begging someone to shoot me. Boring...

Guinness, didn't you read the thread title? This is no place for people with Peart quotations in their sig :)

By laying down the groove. Hopefully.

At the moment the only recordings I've got were done in my house. In other words, they are dreadful. Alas I'm not Finn, and luckily for him, he's not me.*
*Someone did once PM me and ask whether Finn and I were the same person. Hahahah I'd forgotten all about that. I can't remember who it was now.

Cheers Karl. Your guess is spot on. I think I saw in your thread that you're hoping to get a K Custom Left Side Ride, right? Well that's it..on the left!

Really see no reason why I didn`t leave a comment about this beautiful kit!!! that thing looks so awesome...really Womble: I love it and I can just bash myself for not leaving a comment. lol

Hell yeah, that's sweet. I have more fun sitting with a 2 piece than I do a 7 piece. Little dynamic snare and bass fills rock my world.
Was invited to join a band with an awesome bass player and an amazing violinist, playing soft rock and alternative. I turned up to the first jam with a kick and snare, hats and an 18" crash. I had an absolute ball.
