hey everyone,


Here is a clip of my drumming earlier today. I know that it isn't perfect, and the transitions between grooves are rough, but I think that you can get an overall sound out of it.

Also, if anyone is curious about the sound of a gretsch Catalina Club Jazz kit... this is one of them. No effects were added and it was recorded on only two mics.

Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks man! The cymbals are the following:

14" Vintage Zildjian A Medium hats
17" Vintage Zildjian A Medium Crash
18" Vintage Zildjian A Medium Crash
18" Sabian Xs20 Chinese cymbal
20" Vintage Zildjian A Medium/Light Ride

I use Peter Erskine Jazz Signature sticks by Vic Firth. They are light and articulate on all the cymbals, but don't loose that warm feel on the snare and toms.

There are Evans Coated G1's for all of the batter heads, and Clear G1's on the resonants. The snare side head and bass drum heads are stock, but sound nice.

Very nice playing, nice 'n' tight and that kit sounds amazing! Great choice of stick btw, those sticks are just the right weight for me and the rebound is superb.
