....and I love the thing now.

I bought a rack (curved bar with one sidewing, and five extra clamps), two octobans (10" and 12" length), and two minitimbales (6" and 8" headwidth) from this Craigslist -- http://cnj.craigslist.org/msg/253118207.html -- for $300. Money well spent.

Here's what my set was like before this (set it up in the middle of the room for pics):

And here it is after:

Still haven't got a clue where to stick this 6" minitimbale, perhaps some of you can help me with that. The attachment it needs is the same as the 8", not sure if you can see that; it's close to what the tamborine's is. It needs that kind of stick, anyway. And I can't put it on there because then the 18" china/10" stack thingy starts falling down.

I haven't gotten the chance to play it, and I'll probably end up moving some stuff around today.

Lovin the new setup dude, I bet your gonna have heaps of fun with them there bans and minitimbs, if poss, what about putting the minitimbs above each other to the left of the hats and leaving the bans in a similar position to where they are now? I remember when I had some timbs, they had to go on the same stand as they had a slot on type of mounting either side of a post. You've also cut down your hat post, good thinking, must do that myself as it really does get in the way some times.

Hm, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks, I'll definitely try that today. I'm off school today, so I have all day to adjust this thing and give family members headaches (;)).

Just spent a little under two hours jamming and re-angling; lot easier to play, looks better too.

Cool cool additions man. I'm lovin the different colored hoops on the bass drum. And all those stacks too....mmhhmm nice.

Have you ever thought of taking of the hardware on the bass drum that held the toms? Well its not like your using it anymore, and your bass drum would look more like a virgin : )

Haha, they're my, uh, "custom" stacks. ;)

Nah, I'm keeping it. I'm not going to use the rack every time I have a gig, only when I'm playing progressive stuff that requires a set like this.

Sweet kit! One question, though: how the HELL do you get to that tom behind the high hat?

Haha, read the posts just above. I tried their suggestions; as you can see, it didn't really work out. I took these pictures before I removed the 6" timbale again.12432
