hello
I'm looking to buy new drums and I found two deals <I'm from Poland, so prices may vary from the american>
mapex pro m fusion with addintional yamaha stand for about 830$ <with option of buying new evans heads for everything for 70$, but only batter>
AND
sonor force 2003 <22,12,13,16,14> for 700$ OR 780$ with mapex double bass pedal and additional double cymbal stand <no-name I guess> and aquarian heads <batter - not new, but looking good>
what do you think about it? which deal is the best?

Whichever looks good to you........ones maple, ones birch....
I was a Sonor owner and have nothing but praise for the Sonor line.....although Mapex is a great brand too.

Sonor Force 2003 is not birch, it's basswood.

mapex, allready fantastic + you get the "free" snare. base pedal is also top class. just go with the mapex.

theses are used, so I won't get the free snare unfortunately :(
anyway, Mapex? the problem is that I don't know ANY place where I can play force 2003, so can't make my opinion about these drums.

I have a Mapex Pro-M (6-piece studio kit) and it is fantastic. Beautiful appearance, strong durability, and great sound! I would recommend this maple kit over the birch/basswood Sonor one. This kit is worth the extra cost here, although the Sonor kit is certainly not a bad choice.

yeah, but the difference in price isn't that big, so...
I think I'm going Mapex. and that guy adds new heads for half the price.
I hope I'll be happy. my teacher thinks pro m are great drums.
these drums are about 3 yo, but they are looking really good. have pro m drums changed in matter of wood used or hardware?
