Hi friends...

that`s it, the tunes we recorded in studio are mixed and uploaded on myspace. I`m a bit unhappy with that mixdown but I think and hope that it is just the sound quality of myspace...but tell me how you like it.

We sing in German how you can maybe hear.

Also, tell me how I worked as a rockier drummer... :-) haha...I hope you like it a bit

Karl, I wish I understand more German, but I will tell you, your band sounds better to me than half of the music I hear on the radio. Very very nice. You are truly versatile as a drummer.

woah, thats quality stuff. The band and singers are so tight. Your playing is good. I love the sound of your drums. Clean playing and meter transitions. I love it. I cant understand a word you guys are saying but i would love to have it in my itunes library. Any downloads or is there a moratorium on downloads from you now that you studio musician? Again, great stuff and keep up the good work.

Well for starters, I really enjoy your band's sound. Its pretty impressive especially with such young musicians. Those chicks are damn good singers. But yeah, awesome playing man. You know how to put down a solid groove for the band to work with. Its very catchy music as well.

thank you sooo much for all the nice comments. I am very self-critical with my rock playing but I`m also glad you like it.

The kit I was using is a Mapex Orion. For more details I made up a thread about my studio gear:

thanks very much for asking, sometimes i think I would lose my head if it wasn`t tight on my body...

also here thanks alot!
The thing with downloading our stuff is that we wanna sell the songs on a CD so I don`t know if it is okay to give em over internet. I will ask the others and I hope I can give you the tracks soon!
Maybe we also sign up on CD baby to sell them if someone would like to have the tracks in CD quality...

Hey Nutha, thanks for that!

anyway, on myspace you can just one song from our CD called "Zu Schön". It seems that the other two were taken off today by our guitarist or so. Unfortunatly....

Hey, thanks for the comments!! mhh, I didn`t notice that someone posted in it...I apologize.

The others (exept the bassist) are 17,18 or 19. It is a looong story with this band. I started in a band where the elder sister of one of the singers sung and when they did their A-levels the two guitarists came, the younger sister of the old singer, another singer and aftera few month also a bass player. SO, kinda complicated, long story.

I will NEVER regret playing in this band. Through the recordings we all made another big step...I think tomorrow will all the CDs arrive from factory. Looking forward to it. =)

thanks,

Karl

Wow, I'm very surprised. You did a good rocking job.

Yesterday we won the second prize in a band competition: Two gigs with the band "Peachbox". They tour through Germany and soon they`ll also be in the USA guys!

So, two gigs with "Peachbox" anywhere in Germany. Actually I don`t like contests so much...but okay, a gig is a gig.

fantastic! i don't what else to say other than what's been said:

your drums sounded great

the drumming sounded great

the music, while it isn't my thing, was well played

the singer's voice is lovely

and again, good job karl.

Thanks very much!!
If we can win that contest I was talking about we would go to Berlin for four days and record another CD with a professional studio...btw, if you wanna vote for us, here is the link: http://www.volkswagen.de/vwcms_publish/vwcms/master_public/virtualmaster/de3/kunden___service/Volkswagen_Service/best_in_music/voting.html

thanks for the words, next rehearshal I`ll talk a bit about tempi because most of our songs are more up-tempo than I wish to do it. It`s cool to play in tempi around 130-160 bpm but maybe we can also make a tune with a tempo about 100 bpm.

Thanks for all the inspiration guys!

Karl
