Hey Guys!
Been awhile since ive had time to really post properly on here, but still checking up on things all the time!
Thought I would share this with you, a video my buddy filmed of me at a gig last week, it was just a covers gig and I was standing in for a friend, so go easy on my errors! haha.
Hope you guys think its cool, you might flame me for over playing but I was just having fun with it really, covers are a good opportunity for a bit of fun.

sounded / looked fine to me!
I like the "compactness" of your kit!

Hey
Thanks for the response man, kind of you to say.
Yes my kit is pretty compact, I have a 19" China just off shot to the right, and also a cowbell on a pedal next to my hi hat. I do feel comfortable with that compact feel although it can cause problems when you want to add stuff to your kit and there just isnt any space!
I do have a 12" rack tom I sometimes use also, but because of the 10" depth I just cant get it low enough to be comfortable.
Thanks again, any more feedback would be awesome!
Cheers

Sounded great man! Personally, I like to see good recoveries from errors. You recovered very nicely. I'm not too sure if you could overplay Mr. Moon though, he was pretty spastic (and fantastic)!
Great job filling in, I bet the audience had a good time.

Hey Parser!
Thanks for the kind words! Yes the audience seemed to enjoy themselves, I actually had a really good gig in terms of my playing, then got a brief solo in the middle of "So Lonely" by The Police and would you believe, TOTALLY screwed it up! hahaha.
Thanks again for taking the time to write, I would love more comments/criticisms/compliments.
Cheers Guys!

Hey there........aw, gigging, I miss you.....I was quite busy myself spring summer and part of the fall, but it's kinda slow now, seeing your video brought back the fever(lol).
Your a good player man, I would love to hear the police cover! The cymbal selection is nice too......I only wish the audio was clear, but whatever, you can tell the kit sounds good............keep em' comin'!

Hey Dude!
Yes gigging, you cannot beat that feeling blasting out some tunes to a packed room and having as much fun as u can behind the kit at the same time.
The audio sucks a bit, mainly because it was filmed on my friends cell phone! Kit does sound nice, its a Sonor 2005 Birch, but the snare is a Mapex Black Panther, Hand Hammered Brass, a very nice drum indeed!!
Cymbals left to right, all Zildjian. . . 14" A Cust Mastersound hats, 10" K Cust Dark splash, 18" A Cust Projection crash, 20" A cust Ping ride, 17" K Dark Med-Thin Crash, and a 19" K Cust Hybrid China. I would highly suggest checking that cymbal out if you are looking for a nice China, the Hybrid range in general seem pretty damn good, think I have seen Dogbreath using the hi hats actually, they look nice!!
I have quite a few gigs coming in Feb so gonna make as many vids as possible, better quality drummer cam!! haha. Also just general playing vids too.
Heres a pic of the set from Top down for those who are interested. . . .

HA YESS!!
I love the who. And that song was nice. Love your cymbals too.
How are the A Master sounds? I'm in the process of looking for some hats to save up for and was just wondering how those are working for ya.

Thanks again for the kind words guys!
Ahhh the Mastersounds, takes me back to when i ordered those things and waited patiently for a good 2 months to get them!! haha.
Most DEFINATELY worth the wait now though. They are awesome sounding Hi Hats, extremly versitile too. Personally I am on the look out for something a bit darker sounding now, as a contrast, maybe some 13's for that extra tightness.
But if you are looking for some fantastic sounding, versitile 14's. I couldnt recommend them enough man!
