Hey, gotta love the MP Sig. Sticks! The sparkle is sweet and the drums look confy!
I'm on Pinstripes now, how are those Ambassoadors working for ya' ? Better then the Pinstripes? Have you tried the Emperors to? Can you give me some analysis ? :P I looking for a deep and good sound from the drums!

Really nice looking kit, and another pro-level Mapex kit hits the forum here. Nice trend to see. Sweet choice of heads. I'm a Remo guy, and on high end kits, I prefer Ambassador, Controlled Sound or Powerstroke 3 batter. Emperor I would prefer better than Pinstripe, if you gotta go 2 ply. Pins just mute the drum too much, which is great if that's what you need.

Wow really nice. So is that a wrap or a finish?

lol no mate its the standard finish, Laser Ivory
thanks for the comments guys!
oh btw i prefer the Ambassadors, havnt tried Emperors but tried Evans G2's and they didnt hold the tuning for long, as harryconway said its down to what you are playing and the sound you are looking, if you want a portnoy sound pinstripes are the way to go, if you want the more jazz fusion billy cobam sort of sound i would go for the ambassadors :)
hope this helps,
thanks again,

Hi and welcome,
Yet again we are blessed with a nice example of a Mapex Saturn. I can't believe you put the kit on your patio without protection underneath (correct if I'm wrong, and I hope I am!).
Q. Notice a new ride in the recent pics, what is it? 21" HHX Dry Ride?

I know you're trying to showcase your new Mapex and all, but that Remo djembe caught my eye. What size is it? How do you like it? I have a 14x25 Toca Cannon djembe.. it's quite the monster, but I was curious if Remo makes good djembes.

that seat. It looks so comfortable. Looks nice and squishy :)
Anyway. Nice kit. Personally i find the silver bright finish thing a little gaudy, but it looks nice on your kit.

yea love the remo, its a 16", i played a toca before and it was nice too. but the remo is alot more bassy, really fun to play with an acoustic guitar and a didgeridoo!!!

Classy and professional looking, though a bit too conservative for my tastes.
