Well, Z Customs are made for that kind of thing. I feel ridiculous reccomending them, but that's what they're made for. Loudness.

mainly anything in a brilliant finish for cut.
I'm going to recommend HHX Groove hats, I've heard them in a Death Metal setting and they sounded amazing. Such versatile cymbals!

the guy I bought my drumkit from says Paiste 302 hats are best for metal, so they came with the set. I don't know, he did not seem like someone that knows what he's talking about, but people around here will know that.

Paiste 2002's will work fine in just about any setting and are *much* more musical than Z customs (shudders).

Metal Cymbals?
No question, Sabian AA-Metal cymbals. Look at the big metaldrummers like Adrian Erlandson, the drummer of Cradle of Filth.
This cymbals are realy thick and made for metal. It's up to you and sabian would be more expensiv like zildjian.
Sabian AA-Metal
Zildjian Z-Custom
Paiste Signature
Paiste 2002
And than it is important which kind of cymbals you choose.
You can play a Zildjian A Custom Ping Ride by Metal too. Or Sabian XS.
How much money do you have?

Either dyno beats or a custom mastersound. The A customs are really versatile and can be used pretty much in any situation.

I have a pair of Paiste 2002 rock high hats. As it turns out they're a bit too heavy the kind of indie rock I play but I think they would be perfect in a metal setting...

Try the Paiste RUDE SE's. Alot of metal drummers play with the rude series.

Try the saludas. They're medium weight, not thick, but they project very well! and I mean it. These hats slices
