Awesome video. Now I know how to pronounce "Sonor". I always called it "So-Nar" Heh. Speaking or pronouncing. How do you pronounce Meinl?

Thanks for sharing the great video. Sonor produce some great stuff. I've been a fan since the late 80s when I was blown away by a (seamless) 14x4.5 Bell Bronze Signature series snare drum. Truly awesome!

thanks for that!

Sometimes I can`t believe that Sonor is a German manufacturer! That we have here also some neat high-end drum producers.

thanks!

Karl

Ya, Karl, I envy you, if you were a Sonor player, you could avoid the (very often) 6 to 8 month wait those of us in the US have to suffer through when ordering Sonor kits. They make them quicker than that, but the wait is often due to the way they ship.

Not to beat a dead horse, but there really is something about German-Manufactured Sonor drums. It is likely in part due to the truly custom nature of the gear. Unlike many other fine drum makers, Sonor will do anything you want, as long as you can pay for it. ;)

I live in Europe as well and I live quite close to Germany, so I will not have that long wait that you have in America. But what you are forgetting ( or not) is that europeans like us have to wait at least the same amount of time to get all the American gear, witch is most of it. When I order things from my store, I often have to wait 4-5 months before I get it, and that goes for everything that they don't have in stock.
But, we are lucky to have suck great companys like Sonor and Premier ( England) ''nearby''!

Great vid by the way!

Good point, I had not even considered that, since I was feeling so sorry for myself. :)
Sonor is well worth the wait though.

What a cool video. I wish I had some of those tools to build my own.
The german word for "rim-shot" is.... "Rim-shot"! I was bi-lingual, and didn't even realize it!

I'm looking forward to the day when I can afford to buy a Delite, Designer or SQ2. Those are the drums that I want. It's going to be a long wait...
