I just saw an ad in DRUM! Magazine for Paiste Twenty cymbals -- made from B20 Bronze.... and i for one cannot wait to hear them. I have not really been a big paiste fan because i prefer the sound of a B20 cymbal.
anyone heard these?

Being a huge 602 fan I'm pretty excited to hear them as well. Lots of people, including myself have been pestering Paiste to bring back the 602's, and maybe this is their response. I've been busy and haven't heard much about them other than this forum. Anyone know when they're coming out? They'll probably cost a mint.

Thank you,DB I can hardly wait to read what you think. My wife has earmarked some money for drum things this year and I plan on getting a 17" 2002 Thin Crash,a 16" 2002 China Type, and a 22" or 24" Paiste Ride, either 2002 or a Twenty, depending on what folks like your good self say about them. So far, they look promising, abit like an attempt to appease the B20/602 afficionados...Good luck with the NAMM Show...

I hear that they'll be in the price range of 2002s. I love Sound Creations so I can't wait to hear these guys - I like some of the Sigs, but the B20 has a lot more going on than the Sig alloy.

I'd be a happy man if they were priced around the 2002 mark. As long as they are not more expensive than Sigs then i'll def give them a look before I rush out and buy some Sig dark crisp hats. Any idea when they will be in shops?

Excited... excited... excited. Paiste can work wonders with B8 alloy, it's about time they started using B20 again.

Yeah hope it's not too expensive. I was thinking to order the Basic setup of Twenty - A 14" Hats, 16" Crash and a 20" Ride for Twenty - but prices not back yet till after NAMM show says the Distributor here.
Paiste Twenty har?...I bet it will be good just imagine what they can do with B8 Alloy in the past....Paiste Technology must be superb....yeah...yeah ! B20 must be even better.
Bro DB: Please give us your review ok.....I'm anxious about it....thks

I have a question.....Since Paiste Sig & New Sig uses B15 Bronze. Does that mean that the Twenty (using B20 Bronze) is a higher end Cymbal than even the New Signatures? Does anyone knows anything about this?

the type has nothing to do with the quality. B20 is good but just because its B20 doesnt mean its great, if that was the case then everyone would go crazy over sabain xs20s they are b20 but still beginner range....b8 isnt a bad its just simple thats why its used so widely

b8 is not less in terms of quality, sound or anything, merely a different composition of Bronze. It has less of an ability to be hand hammered easily so it is machined in a lot wider amount of forms.
Meinl's lines were nearly composed of all b8 models until recent times with the byzance and mb20 lines. Im yet to find a meinl cymbal that doesnt impress me in terms of qorkmanship, sound or price ;)
