You lucky dog, my band had a chance to play New Years Eve, but one of the guys had a prior commitment so we had to decline the offer. Nice equipment, does it take you long to set up? I've started using a four piece, hi hats two crash and a ride because of the load in and set up time. Bet you had fun, except for the load out, ha, ha, I know how that feels.

It was a riot I bet - right up until about 2A.M. when you realised you aren't Neil Peart and you had to tear down all the stuff by yourselves :) Ahh to have a roadie ;)

I’ve been playing since 1964 and I have Zildjians that date back to that time. I love my Zildjians but the new Wuhan S series are awesome. They are bright, loud, and very defined and at about 1/3 the cost of the big three. I now have my Zildjians on my 1981 Slingerland practice kit. That kit served me well until two years ago when I bought my Gretsch 6 piece kit. The Wuhan’s may not be everyone’s cup of tea but for Classic Rock/Country as our group plays they work very well. As for the Gretsch, they are the best I played, just awesome drums.

Very beautiful kit. Never seen a kit dressed with Wuhans. And way to rock that cowbell =)

cool. Whats with the HUGE PA system set up and NO drum mics? was it just vocals through the pa and monitors or were guitars mic'd?

With most of our jobs being at Moose, Eagles, American Legions, & such volume is not an issue. In fact we typically need to watch just how loud we do get. Having said this mic’s aren’t normally necessary. The PA system is a collection of Peavey & other equipment that I have owned for some time and even with just the vocals having the bass bens makes this system sound outstanding. As for roadies my wife along with two of the other guys wives are always with us and they know as much about setting up and break down as we do and their help is a real time saver. We can be packed and loaded in the trailer in 30 minutes; all that’s left is handing out the pay for the evening. Last night being the exception because the Eagles club offered a buffet breakfast after the dance, no stopping at the quick mart for a snack last night.

I got a six piece kit and I've taken it to gigs before and it's a pain to carry around. Once it's up though it feels nice having everything there but going in and out parking lots, stairs, elevators, crowded rooms is a pain. :) Good luck with that kit there!
