Here are some new pictures without all the blur. I've also added some shots of my pedal setup. I upgraded my Mapex 750 hi-hat to a Pearl Eliminator H2000. The stand is awesome.

That is one awesome kit bro! How do you like your Saludas? Are they crisp, washy, or ..?

The Saludas are a recent addition. I love the sound I'm getting. The smaller crashes are bright with fast decay. The large crash is darker with a longer decay. The ride has a crisp cutting bell, a great ping, and very little sustain. The chinas are trashy with a fast decay. The larger one has a nice dark tone. The hats are crisp and well defined. One set is a little washier and darker than the other. Saludas are exellent cymbals. I think the hold up very well against the major brands.

What I like most about them is the tone I get out of the drums in a studio environment. They cut a little more of the high end without sacrificing the rebound of the head (I can run them a little tigher). In a live setting I often take them off.

That is a great color for that kit man. Your setup seems rather comfortable too. What kind of wood is the Mapex?

Hey,

really nice kit. I like the idea of getting cymbals of "unknown" producers like saluda. Ok its not unknown but it is definitv not so known and expenisve like Sabian. But these cymbals are always extremly good! This Saludas are looking awsome!

Your kit is 100% ready. Nothing is left, you have got everything! The whole set is perfect.

And it is looking great! Nice ;)

Joe,

Thanks! The shells are 100% American maple. The drums sound great.

Thanks Tobias! I'm very happy with what I have. I'm always moving things around though. IMO, Mapex and Saluda offer some of the best values in drum gear. You definitely get a lot for your money.
