Hi guys!

Here's a new little clip from me. Just had some fun and put some music on some drums I recorded today.

The drums is my new reference kit. Let me know what you think about the playing and sound. :)

Great groove and feel!!! What heads are on the snare / toms? Size snare?

Snare is Pearl reference 6.5" Wood with Coated Ambassador on top. Toms have for this recording clear ambassador top/bottom. Normally use clear Emperor on top.

This groove is actually quite cool to play. The right hand is playing hihat/snare at the same time so bottom of stick hits snare and top on the hihat.

If you play like this watch out so you don't hurt the right wrist.

your drumming is really great.

now for the only criticism i can muster...

it sounded like your your snare was muffled. I am not sure whether or not that is a result of the recording or tuning. Usually when listening to funk, i'm used to things sounding a bit tighter. But, even with your drum sounding not quite what like what I'm used to, you sound very good.

I absolutely lover this style of music. Can you recommend me any bands that sound like this? Nice playing and fantastics sounding kit.

Yeah snare could probably be a bit tighter sound wise. I didn't intend to put any music on this when I recorded though. Cheers

Hey, thanks a lot. Don't really know much about funk music to tell you the truth. This just came out when I fiddled around in the studio. Obviously Mr Virtual Guitarist steered into the funk direction ;)

The bridge (IYCCIT) is more Genesis style to me.

Nice grooves and an excellent sound coming from the drumset. The guitar is sweet and I'm really diggin' what the synthesizer is playing too.
