Hey guys,

I will be posting up the tracks when they are mixed fully and will edit this post with them. But here is a short video of me warming up this morning. Now bare in mind I did not get too bed till 3am and this was recorded just before 10am this morning and was my first bash on the kit :) Just thought I would get a little clip of me playing...excuse the sound quality as it was recorded using my digital camera!

Hey man,

I like your grooves and I'm diggin' the ghost notes. I also like what you did between the snares during the culmination. Only advice I can give you is that you should try and use your ride cymbal once in a while, incorporate your toms into your beats and adding some dynamics. Other than that, it was sweet.

Thanks guys!

I tried to avoid using the ride for this recording as its a Zildjian Z Custom and its starting too annoy me with its clanginess!! I will be replacing it with a A Custom Ping ride soon hopefully!

Heeeey! That is nice stuff. Your time keeping is pretty cool mate and I really like the ghost notes in your playing!
Mhhh, the only thing I could tell you is maybe to use some doubles or paradiddles or so instead of so many singles between snare drum and hi-hat...just an idea.

but overall it sounds very unique!

Wow....that's the best compliment I think I have ever received!

I know what you mean about the rudiments Karl...I am focusing a lot on them as I am looking to streamline my playing. My left hand is just so damn weak though. Paradiddles I can do but doubles I struggle with.

Thank you for your kind words!

Mostly we play rock/funk with a poppy edge to certain tunes to be honest. But then we do have one song that goes off into an extended dub type outro with a heavy bass line!

Here is a rough mix of a new track we wrote recently and decided to record. Its a simple beat with very little going on but the challenge was in getting a good groove with a click! We need to re-record the keyboard as its an arpeggiated sound and drifts slightly in places so I have left it off the mix

Please let me know what you think!!!
