I'm looking for a ride that can serve as a crash as well, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, what kind of music?

but if you search a very versatile ride-crash, check out the Zildjian Avedis Crash Ride and maybe the K crash ride...

PS: Oh, and if you are looking for something real special, try out the Zildjian A special effects Breakbeat Ride 18". Great as a ride, great as a crash!
here it is: http://www.zildjian.com/en-US/products/productDetail.ad2?catalogID=1011&typeID=11&productID=2096

I play in a rock cover band, but I love the sound of jazz drummers. I want to minimize my kit to having two cymbals instead of having the two crash and a ride that I use now, so I'd like to find two crash/ride cymbals that are versatile enough to play rock and jazz.

Yeah and doesnt the guy from The Killers use two breakbeats for hi hats? lol

If you want some rock and some Jazz I would def go for a Zildjian K. I guess what particular type of K ride is up to you and the kind of sound your really want but im sure lots of people could point you in the right direction for specific kind of ride but if I were in your shoes id go for Ks right away

Bosphorus New Orleans Series, or maybe the new Stanton Moore Series.

Go to Cymbalfusion.com and listen to the Jazz Master series crashes, there are sound bytes for each, and give them a try. Un less you have to have the big name brands you can save some money and buy great cymbals at the same time. I just bought 5 of them and am pleased as punch.

No, a 16" A/K combo.

and zildjian's site has him playing 18" k constantinople top/avedis breakbeat ride bottom.

so from that we can infer that he has big hats and endorses zildjian.

juststickinaround: what about a 20" giant beat 'multi' (crash/ride)
