Man! All of your vids are really hot! That's really great playing. You seem to really know what you're doing. With all those chops, I think I'd like to see some improvised soloing. Great stuff!

Wow, great work! You even nailed the intro to "Spirit of the Radio" which is NOT an easy lick from a timing standpoint. I especially like the album cover follow-along. NIce selection from "Vapor Trails" too. Don't know if it was on purpose, but definately appropriate for the times. Enjoyed it!

Maaan, that is some impressive stuff! Great work...and how can you do so many timing and groove changes so perfect, that was awesome. Cool grooving, fill ins and I loved when you played unisono with the band.

Keep it up mate...

I am into what your into...and the beginning drum fill to By Tore and the Snow Dog was wonderfully done. The fill to Xanadu was real nice too.
Those are real nice all the way through, I am impressed, we would jam great together.
Very nice mix of different songs well spliced together.
Your very cool.
We must be brothers.
Cheers

As your self I too have been inspirited buy the professor. You have learned some of his rides well and even a fill or two. In my drumming experience playing to another drummers licks is fun and challenging but playing it live is another. I would like too hear some of your own material as well. Good Job. Hey, I agree with you 100%! It`s the same when I get new play-alongs, I think it`s impossible to get all the accents and tempi in my head but when I play it two or three times then I can just do it out of memory and feeling...

You brought a smile to my face with that tribute. I hadn't heard some of those somgs in over a decade. I have to go dig out A Farewell to Kings and and listen to it again.

You sound good, your drums sound good too.

thanks man..i've been playing for twenty something years i guess... that china , believe it or not , is the 14 inch wuhan guitar center 15 dollar special ... ended up being my favorite cymbal... go figure ... i also use the 12 inch and 12 inch wuhan splash ... that one works great for me too for certain things. cheap is my middle name and finding these wuhans were like winning the lottery to me!

I'm right there with that sentiment. I wish my playing could compare. Nonetheless, its fun learning and trying to play Neil's parts.

Wow! Great groove, anp27. It's obvious you've been playing for awhile. The recording of your "main groove" is excellent. Your kit is tuned so well and your set-up is perfect for your style. A small and compacted kit that allows you to lay down serious groove and solo without much effort. Well Done!

Hey, is that your band in the "drum solo" clip? Sounds really tight! Do you guys have any recordings? And what's the name of your band?

Thanks for sharing your clips and skills...Play On!.....Indeed! ;-)

Hey Shogun. You have to realize your skills, man! You do a fantastic job in your vids. Yea, yea, I know it's right to be humble, but I wouldn't knock yourself the way it sounds like you are. You weren't afraid to record and video yourself to post it here on DW. And we're the benificiaries of this. Adriane is right. Your playing is tight and effortless. And I hope to see more of you on here. Thanks Shogun...Play On! ;-)

Shogun, that was sweet! I've never even checked out this section of the forum. This really brought back some memories. I use to play in a progressive rock band in the early 90's and we would do a set called "Rush Hour". We played Tom Sawyer, Analog Kid. Xanadu, 2112, Red Barchetta, etc. I really owe a huge growth in my playing to that band and playing those songs. I really love the way you covered all the Rush albums. The first time I saw Rush was 1976, when they opened up for Ted Nugent. Peart totally blew me away and it was a very inspiring show. To this day I still pull out a few licks from the old "Rush Hour"

Thats the best I've seen on this site by far. We can talk about Bonham and Rich, but I'm sorry to say that Peart is the MAN! And your tribute to him would make a humbe man like Peart proud.

Every time I try to explore Jazz, I get side tracked with Peart and Rush. After watching your tribute, I say F*&% Jazz, lets play some Rush!
