From the Yamaha web site:
"Featuring a 13 x 6.5 inch all Oak shell, the Musashi has lots of "crack" but still has plenty of warmth. You can tune it high and tight or back it down to make this one of the most versatile drums on the market."

13x7 Pork Pie Pig Lite -- acrylic. Incredible tone and a huge rim shot.

I like the 13s. The seem to fit better and I usually don't get any snare buzz from the rack toms.
I have a DW 5.5 X 13, a Dunnett 6.5 X 13 and a 7 x 13 Brady. They all sound great.
I use Evans reverse power center heads on them and they really sing out.

I love 13" snares, especially deep ones. I use a 7X13" maple when I'm not using my Hammered Bronze Supraphonic.
They have a fabulous tone!

I have a Yamaha Musashi 13x6.5 and I absoloutley love it. It sounds great, I have it tuned up pretty high with Remo Coated Ambassador on top, Evans Hazy 300 on the bottom with Puresound Blasters 20 strand wires. It sounds great tuned up tight or low.

If you want to stay strictly 13" i might look at the Pig Light acrylic one. It is really awesome. But if you want to go an extra inch to 14" but stay 6.5 inch depth, take a look at supraphonics. I own one my self and let me tell you it is the best snare i have ever owned and ever played.

This may be the next snare that I buy!
