Today brought two very great surprises!! :>)

Well, I remembered that there was a sale at Guitar Center today on Paistes! However, I didnt have a ride there, but luckily my dad works right next door! So, after work, I told him to stop by and pick out some Paistes.

Well, if you dont know, the deal was buy one get one free Paiste! The catch was that the 2002's and the Signatures werent on sale, however, the OLD Alphas, the NEW Dimensions, and the RUDES were on sale!

Seeing as how it was so late, most of the Paistes were gone; but, to my delight, TWO were left! So, now im here with one 20" Dimensions full ride and one 20" Dimensions Light Ride, all for $230!

I was going to take some pics of my set, however, my digi camera JUST DIED (this things a POS.) Anyways, I also have a new tom ($500 tom for $60, thank you eBay), a new cymbal set up, and, after Christmas, im getting octobans (black sparkle w/ gold hardware).

I know, sorry about not having any pics. I will take some either tonight or in the morning (when the batteries done charging.)

hey man, i took advantage of that sale too. I got a 14 inch alpha crash, and my roommate got a 16 power crash (alpha). we agreed we dont love the sound, but the price was right, it cost us about 120 for the pair. Also, were you aware vic firth sticks were on sale for 2 bucks a pair. We each bought 4 pairs of those bad boys. good to see someone else found this very unpublicized sale. rock on.

The old alphas just sound cleaner and more like higher end cymbals. The new Alphas dont look as good and sound more "beginner-y."

Well, its an X-mas present, but for 2 of them, its about $300. Theyre all maple, and they will be amazing.
