Rubber Pad ??? PLEASE HELP!

This is what i'm looking to get for christmas =)

i heard it live - it's amazing! However, have no idea what it's is or what it's called! =\

You see the rubber pad that Travis hits, it makes the whole venue rumble?

What is it?
What's it called?
Where can i get hold of one?
etcc..

It is just a trigger pad, its not making the sound , its triggering a module or a sampler sequencer of some sort

Dude nine times out of ten its some kind of roland or simmons pad. It makes the place do that because of money. They are pushing it through a massive sound board. You can do the same thing a roland electronic kit (trust I have done it on the one I play on at church). Its just called bass. Thats all.........

Well you need a trigger pad, ie like one of the pads on a roland something or another. Then you need a module like a td-3, or td-6. Just a stab at something here. Look at the roland spd-s just google roland

The Roland SPD-S is a better choice because you can sample the sound that you want and have it all in one unit rather than buying a pad and a module, besides with a module you can only use whats on the module and not be able to sample. Go to the Roland site and they have a video of the SPD-S in action . I have one and that thing is a great investment

I forgot what i paid but i know it was a great deal through them, best i could find.

Dont forget you will need some kind of amplification to use it or headphones.
