My advice is don't get the pacific hardware and check the bearing edges on the kit before you buy it.

A have a pacific kit and have had no problems with it. It's a great sounding kit.

I purchased a FXR 4 piece a few months ago. I love it.

Dont get it? I think the pacific hardware is pretty solid. Especially at those prices.

That's what I thought initially too. The stands are pretty solid, except the angle-adjusting part of the stands frequently come loose. That's my only gripe with the stands. The big problem in my opinion is the ball-and-socket tom holders, which are **** at best. Mine no longer hold my 14" tom flat anymore, no matter how hard I tighten it. Also, the threads on the clamp that holds the tom holder stripped under the weight of the floor tom.
The reason I say check the bearing edges on the kit before you buy is that there have been many tales of rough and uneven bearing edges on pacific kits; mine included.

You have been warned; exercise caution when buying. If you get a kit without flaws, they are excellent however.

I got a Pacific MXR about a week ago, and it's awesome!! I really love it!
I saw some talk on the web about how the heads didn't fit the drums on these sets, but according to med thats nonsense.
I got it with pdp 800 and 900 hardware with double pedals & pdp heavy duty drum throne. Cymbals: 14" medium hihat paiste 2002 series, 16" crash paiste 2002 series, 8" splash paiste 2002 series, 20" ride paiste 2002 series.
One of the best things is the really good sounding 24" bass drum!
Kick ass!

I would use caution on these kits! If you get one that was made without flaws your safe for now but over time these kits fall apart.
