They should work together just fine.. A and K Customs blend nicely. But the fast crash will decay noticeably faster than the medium, hence the name. So it might sound a bit weird on recordings where one cymbal disappears before you know it and the other rings out for a while. Then again, to the average listener they won't notice things like that one bit.

I have a 15" K Custom Session Crash and a 17" A Custom Fast Crash. They work well together.

They make the session crash in 15"? or was that a typo :P I have a 16" and 18" ^^

Nothing wrong with mixing cymbal ranges, im not a massive fan of blending brands but its all personal. It's obvious you like the modern sound so both cymbals would work well together.

Blend like a dream my friend. I blended K's and A's on a jazz set at school, ooooh it was nice.

My hats are basically A's, and my main ride is a K. They get along real nice.

If you are going for a nice contrast, this will be great! If not, you may want to reconsider as these cymbal will have different characteristics.
