I was browsing lately and i found that wuhan makes 27 inch chinas! I was amazed since most bass drums arent even this big and i was wondering if anyone has even seen or played a china that big.
Just want your thoughts...

Sheesh, thats gong territory. Imagine how much space that beast would take up. I'd love to hear it, probably like a very dark and trashy gongish sound. Cool stuff.

i know the drummer of all shall perish has a large china... im not sure if its quite 27 inches, but it was huge. it didnt sound to different when it was all miced up.

one of the drum stores in my area has a massive china, im pretty sure its about 26 or 27 inches
the next time im there ill give it a try and tell you all what it sounds like

According to the Sabian catalogue I have, Bill Ward uses a 26" and a 27" china.

there are some guys on the PDF with some saluda china/rides 27 and 28 inches they look really nice. I want one!

Im getting one of those wuhan 27 inchers and then recording with it in january.
Ill post some of the recordings with it... eventually!

I played a Sabian HH Thin 28" China a few months back at the factory.
Nice sound but good luck finding a cymbal case for it!
