Hey i was just wondering if there was such thing as 1 arm that can hold 2 toms. The reason why i am asking is because im wanting to upgrade from 2 toms to 3. If anyone wanted to give me suggestions onto how i could go by making that upgrade i would be happy to hear it. My tom sizes are 12 inches and 13 inches. Thanks a lot.

Why don't you just dog bone it off a cymbal stand. Unless you use a rack like Trommer, you could have a hard time finding this type of hardware item, although I'm not totally clear on what you mean. Depending on what mounts are on you're toms and what you currently have you could get a variety of different things that will make this work. Pics and more info on your current setup would probably be beneficial.

Sorry about the lack of info, i was kind of busy when i started this thread but sometime today ill take pictures of the tom arm. Like it basically looks the same as.... this one here http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibraltar-SC700HA-Tom-Arm?sku=446099. Oh and also im playing on a single kick, if that makes a diference. Like since christmas time is coming and everything i just wanted to add another tom on to my kit, and i wanted to get the hardware and everything before i bought the tom. Anyways thanks a lot for getting back to me, and i look forward to hearing more responses.

What do you think about playing such a Dave Weckl or a set-up where the rack toms are mounted seperatly on such a toms holder stand...
here is the link to weckl:

and the link for such a tom holder:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Tama-Swingstar-HTW29W-DX-Series-Double-Tom-Stand?sku=440773
just a basic idea...

If the Yamaha tom arm will suit your setup (bass insert clamp, tom mounts, etc.) then go for that one. That tom mount has got to be the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel. Every time that I go to set up any other kit, the tom mounts are just not as good. So I see what you mean, just shop around, there is lots to be found out there that would suit what you are looking for.

The yamaha one is what i need just i need it to have arms like this one on them http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...Arm?sku=446099, rather than just the rod. So if anyone knows of anything like that let me know. Eitehr by responding in this thread or PM me. Like how do other drummers get 3 toms on one bass drum without using tom stands?
Thanks a lot for posting and getting back to me.

Look for that ''1 into 2'' Yamaha one on eBay! Or you could buy the one from musicians friend and sell the Yamaha ball rod holders
