Try Stagg, they're pretty cheap. Newcastle Drum Centre in the UK stock these I think - 0191 221 0301. Don't know if it'll do any good but tell them Al Hunter sent you... ; )

Hope that helps.

haha yeah, also wantred to mention stagg.

but hey, if your audience wanna enjoy the gig...don`t take Stagg. I mean, they are not awful...but for the value I think WUHAN is better!

Ya Karl's right on there. The wuhan china's are dirt cheap but get you the most original trashy china sound. They just don't have any competition.

I have two things to say to this -

1. My answer was directed at CWignall who started the thread, but nonetheless feel free to follow my suggestion

2. You asked for a suggestion other than Wuhan. I gave a suggestion and you turned your nose up... what more can I do?

Well not since Dream Cymbals came on the market.

They are a real alternative.

Cheap for a decent sounding cymbal. Alot better than B8's and i think maybe even cheaper - what is there to lose?

How about the Sabian Carmine Appice Devastation? This is cheap because it's practically a B8 or at least the same alloy, and it's the raunchiest china I've played. I prefer it over B20 chinas.

Where can I find a Tibetan Cymbal?

In Tibet?

Putting that aside, Ufip Tiger Chinas are really good too. For some reason, they're quite cheap around here, and they can rip your head off if you play them with heavy sticks.

...A friend of mine had this cymbal.

I used it when I was painting. Every time that I hit it, it peeled the old paint off of my walls.

Seriously though, the Carmine Appice devastation china is the loudest, most abrasive cymbal that I have ever heard.

It should be registered as a weapon of mass percussion.

LOL That's good to know because I have some projects around the house involving stripping paint and getting rid of finish :)

I don't know why you deperatly need a china so quickly. If I were you I would just put off on it for a bit and save up for the Zildjian Oriental, they're amazing. I just boughtn a 16' and I can't belive how awsome it is.
