hey guys,
I just wanted to know about planet Z cymbals form Zildjian. They are really cheap. Are they good. Im guessing around the quality of a ZBT-ZXT.
let me know, because I haven't heard much about them.

No they are worse than zbt's and alot worse than zxt's. avoid planet z's like the plague. They are only good for very very beginners that are not serious about drumming at all and just need some cymbals to smash on. (most 5 year olds). Pick up yourself some nice A's. Worth the money

You know how so many little kids shows, toys, stores, etc all have 'Planet' in their names- well, these are no different; they may be good for small childeren, or if at the end of a concert if you want to smash some cymbals for effect and feel that you are doing the world a service in doing so- other than that, they have little use.

theyre the type of stuff that you'd be confident enough to let kids use as flying disks. theyre good for practice, if you dont mind the horrible sound, but that's just because theyre quiet cymbals.

They are terrible, i got a set of them free with my Ludwig kit, they lasted for about 3 months.

They are very bad. They make B8's sound awesome. I got a free set of Z's with my DDrum set, and the hats were bent up after the first ten minutes of playing. Sabian B8's would do you better than than the Z's. I don't know what the Z's are made of but they made a horrible "panging" noise.
If you were near me I'd GIVE you the ones that are in the closet in the box.

kill me for this, but i think solars make sabian b8 pros sound inferior. the solars sound like b8 without the ear splitting high frequency.

Guys instead of comparing these cymbals to top of the range models compare them to others at that price point, i work at a music shop and i can tell you for that kind of money they are on par with all other brands.

i have the heart to compare planet z's with high-end, pro cymbals... one day, i went to the usual rehrearsal studio to find that the cracked crash was replaced. i thought it was a planet z.... until i saw the part of the cymbal where the ink was... it said Z medium crash. so yeah, planet z's sound like Zildjian Z's.. if its any consolation when you get a planet z pack, you can always think its a Z custom set, and it breaks just as fast too lol.
